University of Jyväskylä is a renowned comprehensive public university in Finland, located in the scenic lake district city of Jyväskylä in the south-central part of the country. Its roots date back to 1863 when Finland's first Finnish-language teachers' college was founded, which was officially elevated to university status in 1966.
