The University of Kragujevac is a public university in Serbia, whose predecessor can be traced back to the Serbian Principality High School founded in 1838, the first higher education institution in modern Serbia. Officially established on May 21, 1976, the university was formed by the merger of five faculties including Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Law, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Medicine, and two research institutes.

如今，克拉古耶瓦茨大学拥有12个学院，提供118个涵盖自然科学与数学、社会与人文科学、医学科学、工程科学及艺术领域的学习课程，涵盖本科、研究生、博士等多个学历层次。该校在塞尔维亚国内高等教育体系中地位较高，国际排名方面，2025年QS世界大学排名为1201-1400位，USNews世界大学排名为986位，整体处于国际中等水平。

Today, the University of Kragujevac has 12 faculties, offering 118 study programs covering natural sciences and mathematics, social and humanities, medical sciences, engineering sciences, and arts, spanning undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. It holds a high position in Serbia's domestic higher education system. In terms of international rankings, it ranked 1201-1400 in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and 986 in the USNews World University Rankings 2025, placing it at a medium level internationally.
