The University of Lodz (Uniwersytet Łódzki in Polish) is located in Łódź, Poland's second-largest city. Founded in 1945, it is one of the largest and most popular public higher education institutions in Poland. Inheriting the historical tradition of multicultural integration in Łódź, the university embraces core values of openness, innovation, and diversity, dedicated to providing a high-quality educational and research environment.

The university comprises 12 faculties, offering 70 undergraduate programs and 182 specialization tracks across disciplines such as Biological and Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Economics and Social Sciences, Languages and Literature, Philosophy and History, Physics and Applied Informatics. Instruction is available in Polish, English, and French, with preparatory courses for international students (e.g., Polish language training, undergraduate and graduate preparatory programs). To date, the university has educated over 140,000 graduates, including international students from more than 80 countries, with approximately 40,000 current students and over 2,200 faculty members.

Emphasizing internationalization, the university actively participates in EU programs like Erasmus+ and has established partnerships with universities worldwide. The campus features modern teaching facilities and one of Poland's largest libraries, offering students abundant academic resources and support services. In international rankings, it placed in the 801-1000 range of the 2025 QS World University Rankings and 98th in global university internationalization rankings, serving as a benchmark for higher education internationalization in Poland.
