电子科技大学坐落于四川省成都市，是一所以电子信息科学技术为核心，工、理、管、文、医等多学科协调发展的教育部直属重点大学，国家“双一流”“985工程”“211工程”重点建设高校。学校创建于1956年，由交通大学（现上海交通大学、西安交通大学）、南京工学院（现东南大学）、华南工学院（现华南理工大学）的电讯工程有关专业合并组建而成，1960年被中共中央列为全国重点高等学校，1961年被确定为七所国防工业院校之一。

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education, focusing on electronic information science and technology, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, management, liberal arts, and medicine. It is a key construction university of the national "Double First-Class", "985 Project", and "211 Project". Founded in 1956, the university was formed by merging the telecommunications engineering-related majors of Jiaotong University (now Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Xi'an Jiaotong University), Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University), and South China Institute of Technology (now South China University of Technology). In 1960, it was listed as a national key higher education institution by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and in 1961, it was identified as one of the seven national defense industry colleges.

学校以“求实求真、大气大为”为校训，始终坚持立德树人根本任务，培养了大批电子信息领域的高素质人才，被誉为“中国电子类院校的排头兵”。在学科建设方面，电子科学与技术、信息与通信工程两个学科连续多年入选国家“双一流”建设学科，在教育部第四轮学科评估中均获评A+，位列全国第一。学校拥有国家级重点实验室、国家工程研究中心等多个高水平科研平台，在电子信息、人工智能、量子信息等前沿领域取得了一系列重大科研成果，为我国电子信息产业发展和国防现代化建设作出了重要贡献。

With the school motto of "Seeking Truth and Being Ambitious", the university has always adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and talents, and has cultivated a large number of high-quality talents in the field of electronic information, known as "the pacesetter of China's electronic colleges". In terms of discipline construction, two disciplines, Electronic Science and Technology, and Information and Communication Engineering, have been selected into the national "Double First-Class" construction disciplines for many years. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, both were rated A+, ranking first in the country. The university has many high-level scientific research platforms such as national key laboratories and national engineering research centers. It has achieved a series of major scientific research results in cutting-edge fields such as electronic information, artificial intelligence, and quantum information, making important contributions to the development of my country's electronic information industry and the modernization of national defense.
