中国科学技术大学（University of Science and Technology of China），简称“中科大”，位于安徽省合肥市，是中国科学院直属的一所以前沿科学和高新技术为主、兼有医学和特色文科的全国重点大学，位列国家“双一流”“985工程”“211工程”重点建设高校。学校1958年9月创建于北京，首任校长由郭沫若兼任。1970年初，学校迁至安徽省合肥市。

University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), referred to as "USTC", is located in Hefei, Anhui Province. It is a national key university directly under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on frontier science and high technology, with medicine and characteristic liberal arts. It is listed in the national "Double First-Class", "985 Project" and "211 Project" key construction universities. The university was founded in Beijing in September 1958, and the first president was concurrently held by Guo Moruo. In early 1970, the university moved to Hefei, Anhui Province.
