The University of Parma is one of the oldest universities in the world, with its history dating back to the 12th century. Historical records indicate that institutions with well-established systems existed in the Parma region between the 10th and 11th centuries, particularly renowned for their distinguished faculty in the Faculty of Law. Throughout Parma's centuries-long history, the university has consistently played a pivotal role in cultural and academic domains. Reorganized and developed in 1859, the University of Parma has evolved into one of Italy's leading public universities.

现今，帕尔马大学由12个院系组成，包括农业学院、建筑学院、经济学院、药剂学院、法学院、工程学院、文学哲学院等，共开设58个本科专业和54个硕士专业。作为意大利少有的院系集中型大学，其农业、建筑、药剂、工程和理工学院均位于同一校区，校园内设有多处绿地、健身区和活动中心，现有约30000名注册学生。

Today, the University of Parma comprises 12 faculties, including the Faculty of Agriculture, Architecture, Economics, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, and Arts & Philosophy, offering 58 undergraduate programs and 54 master's programs. As one of Italy's rare universities with centralized faculties, its agricultural, architectural, pharmaceutical, engineering, and science faculties are all located on a single campus featuring numerous green spaces, fitness areas, and activity centers, with approximately 30,000 enrolled students.
