University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is a comprehensive public university located in southern Denmark, with its roots tracing back to the Odense campus established in 1966. Through subsequent mergers and expansions, it has evolved into its current form, comprising four campuses in Odense, Kolding, Esbjerg, and Sønderborg, with the main campus situated in Odense—the hometown of fairy tale author Hans Christian Andersen.
