武汉城市学院是经教育部批准设置的全日制普通本科高等学校，前身为2002年7月成立的武汉科技大学城市学院，2021年2月转设为独立设置的民办普通本科高校并更现名。学校现有武汉、红安两个校区，武汉校区位于武汉市东湖风景区，红安校区地处红色革命发源地，校园占地2041.94亩，校舍建筑面积67.20万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值12732.01万元，图书馆纸质图书176.97万册。

Wuhan City College is a full-time ordinary undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the City College of Wuhan University of Science and Technology founded in July 2002. In February 2021, it was transformed into an independent private undergraduate university and adopted its current name. The university has two campuses in Wuhan and Hong'an. The Wuhan campus is located in the East Lake Scenic Area of Wuhan, while the Hong'an campus is situated in the birthplace of the red revolution. Covering an area of 2041.94 mu, the university has a building area of 672,000 square meters, with teaching and research equipment worth 127.3201 million yuan and 1.7697 million paper books in the library.

学校以工科为主，涵盖工学、人文学科、社会学科、理学、医学、管理学、艺术学七大学科门类，开设36个本科专业、12个专科专业，现有在校生17159人。秉持“育人为本、质量立校、特色发展、争创一流”的办学理念，重点建设信息科学、大医护、电商物流三大专业群，形成“护教协同”“新业态+创新创业”等特色育人模式，近三年考研录取率19%左右，毕业生初次就业率稳定在90%以上。

With engineering as its main focus, the university covers seven disciplines: engineering, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, management, and arts. It offers 36 undergraduate programs and 12 junior college programs, with 17,159 students currently enrolled. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "student-oriented, quality-based, characteristic development, and striving for first-class", it focuses on building three major professional groups: information science, general medical care, and e-commerce logistics. It has formed characteristic education models such as "nursing-education collaboration" and "new business formats + innovation and entrepreneurship". In the past three years, the postgraduate entrance examination admission rate has been around 19%, and the initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 90%.
