武汉工程职业技术学院是由湖北省人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案、世界500强中国宝武钢铁集团有限公司主办的全日制普通高等职业院校。学院伴随中国钢铁强国使命成长，经过近70年的建设发展，现已成为以高等职业教育和在职培训为主，集中等职业教育（高级技校）、成人继续教育为一体的综合性高等职业院校。学院以产教融合的典范、大国工匠的摇篮、赋能成长的工场为愿景，深化产教融合、校企合作，不断提升办学水平。

Wuhan Engineering Institute is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province, registered with the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by China Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., a Fortune Global 500 company. Growing with China's mission to become a steel power, the college has developed into a comprehensive higher vocational institution integrating higher vocational education, on-the-job training, secondary vocational education (senior technical school), and adult continuing education after nearly 70 years of development. With the vision of being a model of industry-education integration, a cradle of great craftsmen, and a workshop for empowering growth, the college deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation to continuously improve its educational standards.

学院主校区坐落于九省通衢的武汉市，校园总占地面积1056亩，建筑面积26万平方米，图书馆纸质藏书70万余册，校园网覆盖三个校区，具备良好的生活服务、学习成长的校园环境，规范的奖助贷、专升本、技能鉴定、心理咨询、创新创业的服务配套。学院依托中国宝武的丰富资源，拥有一支勤勉治学、教书育人的专兼职教师队伍，共有专兼职教师745人，在校生10500余人。设有机电工程学院、信息工程学院、智能建造与设计学院、经济贸易学院、智慧钢铁学院、继续教育学院等多个教学实体，建有配套专业实践的校内实验实训室107个，对接实习就业的校外实习实训基地88个。

The main campus is located in Wuhan, a transportation hub connecting nine provinces. The campus covers a total area of 1056 mu (about 704,000 square meters) with a building area of 260,000 square meters. The library has over 700,000 paper books, and the campus network covers three campuses, providing a good campus environment for living, learning and growth, as well as standardized services such as scholarships, grants and loans, undergraduate upgrading, skill appraisal, psychological counseling, and innovation and entrepreneurship support. Relying on the rich resources of China Baowu, the college has a dedicated team of full-time and part-time teachers with 745 faculty members and over 10,500 students. It has established multiple teaching entities including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Intelligent Construction and Design, School of Economics and Trade, School of Smart Steel, and School of Continuing Education, with 107 on-campus laboratories and training rooms for professional practice and 88 off-campus internship and training bases for internship and employment.

学院全面加强专业链与产业链的对接，开设有机电一体化技术、电气自动化技术、钢铁智能冶金技术、计算机应用技术、建筑工程技术、大数据与会计等39个招生备案专业。其中中央财政重点支持建设专业2个，国家骨干专业1个、省级重点专业3个、省级特色专业5个。历年来毕业生就业率达到95%以上，持续位于全省前列，由于人才培养精准对接宝武集团人才需求，高质量就业率也远高于同类院校。

The college has strengthened the connection between professional chains and industrial chains, offering 39 enrolled majors including Mechatronics Technology, Electrical Automation Technology, Intelligent Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology, Computer Application Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, and Big Data and Accounting. Among them, there are 2 majors supported by the central finance, 1 national key major, 3 provincial key majors, and 5 provincial characteristic majors. Over the years, the employment rate of graduates has reached over 95%, ranking among the top in the province. Due to the precise alignment of talent training with the talent needs of Baowu Group, the high-quality employment rate is also much higher than that of similar institutions.

学院社会培训服务能力强大，专设培训事业部（培训中心），是国家高级技能人才（机电项目）培训基地、中国设备管理协会设备管理与诊断技术（武汉）培训基地、湖北省高级技能人才培训基地等。拥有一支经验丰富的培训团队，建立了培训策划、课程研发、组织实施、诊断反馈全流程的培训服务体系，近三年为社会提供培训服务每年超5万人次。

The college has strong social training service capabilities, with a dedicated Training Department (Training Center). It is a national senior skilled talent (mechanical and electrical project) training base, a training base for equipment management and diagnostic technology (Wuhan) of China Association of Plant Engineering, and a senior skilled talent training base in Hubei Province. With an experienced training team, it has established a full-process training service system covering training planning, curriculum development, organization and implementation, and diagnosis and feedback. In the past three years, it has provided training services to over 50,000 person-times annually.
