武汉工贸职业学院是经教育部和湖北省人民政府批准，由省教育厅直接领导，具有独立颁发学历文凭资格，面向全国招生的一所全日制普通高等学校。学院座落于素有"九省通衢"美称的湖北省武汉市中心地带，毗邻国家5A级旅游风景区（中国最大的城中湖）东湖磨山；南邻中国光谷、东湖新技术开发区，北倚武汉植物园，西至武汉大学、华中师范大学，东至中国地质大学、华中科技大学。校园依山傍水、绿树成荫、草坪花圃、清新幽雅，是典型的园林式学府。

Wuhan Industry and Trade Vocational College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hubei Province, directly led by the Provincial Department of Education, with the qualification to independently issue academic diplomas and enroll students nationwide. The college is located in the central area of Wuhan, Hubei Province, known as the "thoroughfare of nine provinces", adjacent to the national 5A-level tourist scenic spot (China's largest urban lake) East Lake Moshan; south to Wuhan Optical Valley and East Lake New Technology Development Zone, north to Wuhan Botanical Garden, west to Wuhan University and Central China Normal University, and east to China University of Geosciences and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The campus is surrounded by mountains and water, shaded by green trees, with lawns and flower beds, fresh and elegant, making it a typical garden-style university.

学院面向全国招生，目前开设有机电一体化技术、计算机应用技术、应用电子技术、电子商务、电子信息工程技术、商务英语、国际经济与贸易、物流管理、环境艺术设计、视觉传播设计与制作、建筑室内设计、建筑工程技术、建筑装饰工程技术、园林技术、旅游管理、会计、法律事务、文秘、光电子技术应用等特色鲜明的19个专业（方向），涵盖文、理、工、经、管、艺术等多个学科领域。实行"双证制"（毕业证和国家职业资格证）人才培养模式，强化学生实践动手能力，培养高素质应用型人才，为学生全面发展和就业搭建理想平台。同时，学院实行专套本制度，并与武汉工程科技学院等几所本科院校联合开展"3+2"五年一体化专升本培养计划，为学生提供理想的本科教育模式。

The college enrolls students nationwide and currently offers 19 distinctive majors (directions) including Mechatronics Technology, Computer Application Technology, Applied Electronic Technology, E-commerce, Electronic Information Engineering Technology, Business English, International Economics and Trade, Logistics Management, Environmental Art Design, Visual Communication Design and Production, Architectural Interior Design, Architectural Engineering Technology, Architectural Decoration Engineering Technology, Garden Technology, Tourism Management, Accounting, Legal Affairs, Secretarial Science, and Optoelectronic Technology Application, covering multiple disciplines such as liberal arts, science, engineering, economics, management, and art. It implements a "double certificate" (graduation certificate and national vocational qualification certificate) talent training model, strengthens students' practical operation ability, cultivates high-quality applied talents, and builds an ideal platform for students' all-round development and employment. At the same time, the college implements a specialized undergraduate program and jointly carries out a "3+2" five-year integrated undergraduate promotion training plan with several undergraduate colleges such as Wuhan University of Engineering and Technology, providing students with an ideal undergraduate education model.

学院十分重视学生的政治思想教育工作，近几年已在学生中发展党员数百名。学院尽心竭力指导和推荐毕业生就业，已为26个省（市、区）及国家部、委输送毕业生近万名，其中有不少毕业生已成为部门领导或技术骨干，深受用人单位的好评。我院根据就业市场紧缺型人才需求，针对部分专业学生进行学校、企业订单式联合培养的模式。校企双方发挥各自优势，共同制定人才培养方案，在师资、技术、设备等办学条件方面通力合作，采取多种形式教学，使学生在校期间不仅掌握到相应的专业理论知识，还要实实在在地参与名牌企业实习、实训，切身体验实际工作的全过程，从而解决毕业生的就业问题。学院开通"绿色通道"：学生在校期间，符合条件的，可享受国家奖学金、国家励志奖学金、国家助学金等。

The college attaches great importance to the ideological and political education of students, and has developed hundreds of Party members among students in recent years. The college makes every effort to guide and recommend graduates for employment, and has sent nearly 10,000 graduates to 26 provinces (cities, districts) and national ministries and commissions. Many of them have become department leaders or technical backbones, well received by employers. According to the demand for scarce talents in the job market, our college carries out an order-based joint training model between the school and enterprises for students of some majors. The school and enterprise give full play to their respective advantages, jointly formulate talent training programs, cooperate in teaching staff, technology, equipment and other school-running conditions, and adopt various forms of teaching, so that students not only master the corresponding professional theoretical knowledge during their school years, but also participate in internships and training in famous enterprises, personally experience the whole process of practical work, so as to solve the employment problem of graduates. The college has opened a "green channel": during their stay at school, eligible students can enjoy national scholarships, national inspirational scholarships, national grants, etc.
