武汉华夏理工学院是经教育部审核批准成立的普通本科高校，创建于2003年，原名武汉理工大学华夏学院，2015年成为湖北省转型发展试点本科高校，2016年转设为独立设置的普通本科高校并更名。学校以普通全日制本科教育为主，面向全国招生，现有在校生1.4万人，总占地面积1500亩，拥有武汉校区（位于“武汉·中国光谷”核心）和梁子湖教学基地（踞武汉新城核心），形成双核联动的办学格局。

Wuhan Huaxia University of Technology is an ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 2003 as Huaxia College of Wuhan University of Technology, it became a pilot undergraduate university for transformation and development in Hubei Province in 2015, and was renamed Wuhan Huaxia University of Technology as an independent ordinary undergraduate university in 2016. Focusing on full-time undergraduate education, the university enrolls students nationwide with 14,000 current students and a total area of 1,500 mu. It has two campuses: Wuhan Campus (located in the core of "Wuhan·China Optics Valley") and Liangzi Lake Teaching Base (situated in the core of Wuhan New City), forming a dual-core linkage办学 pattern.

学校秉持“质量求生存、管理求规范、特色求优势、创新求发展”的办学理念，构建以工科为主，工、经、管、文、艺、教、医七大学科协调发展的学科体系，开设41个本科专业，拥有机械工程、设计学2个省级优势特色学科，8个湖北省一流本科专业建设点，147个实验中心及校企合作基地，与180余家企业共建实习实训平台，形成“六模块”应用型人才培养体系。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "survival by quality, standardization by management, advantages by characteristics, and development by innovation", the university has established a discipline system dominated by engineering and coordinated development of seven disciplines including engineering, economics, management, literature, art, education, and medicine. It offers 41 undergraduate programs, featuring 2 provincial advantageous and characteristic disciplines (Mechanical Engineering, Design), 8 Hubei first-class undergraduate program construction sites, 147 experimental centers, and school-enterprise cooperation bases. It has built internship and training platforms with over 180 enterprises, forming a "six-module" applied talent cultivation system.

学校现有专任教师700余人，高级职称教师占比38%，硕士及以上学位教师占比90%，拥有省级优秀教学团队4个、产业学院8个，近年来获国家级科研项目7项、省级教学成果奖5项，学生获省级以上学科竞赛奖近700人次，毕业生就业率持续保持全省同类高校前列，先后荣获“全国十佳独立学院”“湖北省文明校园”等称号。

The university has over 700 full-time teachers, with 38% holding senior titles and 90% having master's or higher degrees. It boasts 4 provincial excellent teaching teams and 8 industrial colleges. In recent years, it has obtained 7 national-level scientific research projects and 5 provincial teaching achievement awards. Students have won nearly 700 provincial and above discipline competition awards, and the employment rate of graduates has remained at the forefront of similar universities in the province.
