威海海洋职业学院坐落于美丽的海滨之城——山东威海，是一所经山东省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的国有公办全日制普通高等专科学校。学院占地588亩，建筑面积24万平方米，总投资8亿元，目前设立教学系部7个、教辅机构3个、行政处室6个，在校生9400多人，专任博士、硕士教师239人。

Weihai Ocean Vocational College is located in the beautiful coastal city of Weihai, Shandong Province. It is a state-owned public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The college covers an area of 588 mu, with a building area of 240,000 square meters and a total investment of 800 million yuan. Currently, it has 7 teaching departments, 3 teaching auxiliary institutions, 6 administrative offices, more than 9,400 students, and 239 full-time teachers with doctoral and master's degrees.

学院以海洋特色为办学定位，重点打造海洋健康食品质量安全控制、船舶智能制造、工业机器人、电子商务技术、水产养殖和酒店管理六大专业群，开设水产养殖技术、食品营养与检测、船舶工程技术等27个专业，拥有省级品牌专业群2个、全国高等职业教育创新发展行动计划骨干专业3个。

With marine characteristics as its school-running orientation, the college focuses on building six professional groups: marine healthy food quality and safety control, ship intelligent manufacturing, industrial robots, e-commerce technology, aquaculture, and hotel management. It offers 27 majors such as aquaculture technology, food nutrition and testing, and ship engineering technology, and has 2 provincial brand professional groups and 3 backbone majors of the National Higher Vocational Education Innovation and Development Action Plan.

学院师资力量雄厚，建有1个省级教学团队，拥有4名二级教授、1名国家级教学名师、7名省教学名师，获批建设4个省级名师工作室。办学条件一流，建有山东省船舶控制工程与智能系统工程技术研究中心等6个省市级科研平台，各类专业实训室60多个，教学仪器设备总值过亿元，图书馆纸质及电子图书40余万册。

The college has a strong faculty, with 1 provincial teaching team, 4 second-level professors, 1 national-level teaching master, 7 provincial teaching masters, and 4 provincial-level master studios approved for construction. It has first-class school-running conditions, with 6 provincial and municipal scientific research platforms such as the Shandong Provincial Ship Control Engineering and Intelligent System Engineering Technology Research Center, more than 60 professional training rooms of various types, teaching instruments and equipment worth over 100 million yuan, and more than 400,000 paper and electronic books in the library.

学院重视创新创业教育，与百余家企业开展校企合作，建立“订单式”人才培养模式，近三年毕业生就业率均超过99.5%。先后荣获山东省校企合作先进单位、全国水产科普教育示范基地等称号，是山东半岛蓝色经济区重要的海洋人才培养基地。

The college attaches importance to innovation and entrepreneurship education, carries out school-enterprise cooperation with more than 100 enterprises, and establishes an "order-type" talent training model. The employment rate of graduates in the past three years has exceeded 99.5%. It has successively won titles such as Advanced Unit of School-Enterprise Cooperation in Shandong Province and National Aquatic Science Popularization Education Demonstration Base, and is an important marine talent training base in the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone.
