武汉警官职业学院是经湖北省人民政府批准、教育部备案的省属全日制公办普通高等职业院校，由湖北省司法厅管理，是全省唯一一所政法类、警察类高等职业院校。学校前身为湖北省警官学校、湖北省司法学校等单位合并组建，历经40年办学历程，始终坚持“警校姓党”的办学政治方向，以“为党育人、为国育才、立德树人”为初心使命，秉持“政治建警、改革强警、协同育警、科技兴警、从严治警”的办学定位，致力于培养高素质政法专业人才。

Wuhan Police Vocational College is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Affiliated to the Hubei Provincial Department of Justice, it is the only higher vocational college specializing in politics and law as well as police studies in the province. The college was formed by the merger of Hubei Provincial Police School, Hubei Provincial Judicial School and other institutions. With a 40-year history of running schools, it has always adhered to the political orientation of "the police academy belongs to the Party", taken "cultivating talents for the Party and the country, and fostering virtue through education" as its original mission, and upheld the school-running orientation of "building the police through politics, strengthening the police through reform, cultivating the police through collaboration, invigorating the police through science and technology, and governing the police strictly", dedicated to cultivating high-quality political and legal professionals.

学校现有25个专业，其中国家骨干专业1个、央财支持专业2个、司法类国家控制专业（警察专业）7个、省级特色专业5个，形成了以司法行政警察类专业为核心的特色专业群。师资力量雄厚，现有教师197人，其中教授、副教授64人，硕士以上学历93人，“双师型”教师108人，荣获国家、省部级教学成果奖80多项。学校实行警务化管理，注重学生实践能力培养，建有司法信息化ICT实训基地、安全防范技术国家级实训基地等46个校内实训基地及189个校外实习基地，为学生提供优质实践教学资源。

The college currently offers 25 majors, including 1 national key major, 2 majors supported by the central finance, 7 judicial state-controlled majors (police majors), and 5 provincial-level characteristic majors, forming a characteristic major group with judicial administrative police majors as the core. It has a strong faculty of 197 teachers, including 64 professors and associate professors, 93 with master's degree or above, and 108 "double-qualified" teachers, who have won more than 80 national and provincial teaching achievement awards. The college implements police-style management and focuses on cultivating students' practical abilities. It has built 46 on-campus training bases such as the judicial informatization ICT training base and the national-level training base for security technology, as well as 189 off-campus internship bases, providing high-quality practical teaching resources for students.

作为全国政法干警招录培养体制改革试点院校、湖北省司法行政系统招录人民警察定点院校，学校司法行政警察类专业毕业生可通过便捷入警政策招考合格后直接录用为司法行政系统人民警察，其他专业毕业生通过订单培养、定向就业等形式实现高质量就业。建校以来，学校已培养10多万名政法专业人才，积极服务社会重大安保活动，每年承担在汉高校及企事业单位军训5万余人次，先后获评“全国司法行政系统抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进集体”“湖北省征兵工作先进单位”等荣誉称号。

As a pilot college for the reform of the recruitment and training system of political and legal police nationwide and a designated college for recruiting people's police in the judicial administrative system of Hubei Province, graduates of the college's judicial administrative police majors can be directly employed as people's police in the judicial administrative system after passing the recruitment examination through the convenient police entry policy, while graduates of other majors achieve high-quality employment through order-based training and定向 employment. Since its establishment, the college has cultivated more than 100,000 political and legal professionals, actively served major social security activities, undertaken military training for more than 50,000 people from colleges and universities as well as enterprises and institutions in Wuhan every year, and has been awarded honors such as "Advanced Collective of the National Judicial Administrative System in the Fight against COVID-19" and "Advanced Unit for Conscription Work in Hubei Province".
