武汉信息传播职业技术学院创办于2000年，是经湖北省人民政府批准成立、国家教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业学校，由湖北省委宣传部直管国有文化企业湖北知音传媒集团独资举办。学校位于中国光谷武汉东湖高新技术开发区庙山科技园，占地648亩，校舍建筑面积28万平方米，固定资产总值1.81亿元，教学仪器设备总值超5000万元，图书馆藏书55.53万册，全日制在校生近1.2万人。

Wuhan Vocational College of Information and Communication was founded in 2000. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational school approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is solely funded by Hubei Zhiyin Media Group, a state-owned cultural enterprise directly under the Publicity Department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee. The school is located in Miaoshan Science and Technology Park, East Lake High-tech Development Zone, Wuhan, China's Optical Valley, covering an area of 648 mu, with a school building area of 280,000 square meters, a total fixed asset value of 181 million yuan, teaching equipment worth over 50 million yuan, a library collection of 555,300 books, and nearly 12,000 full-time students.

学校以“数智+信息传播”为办学特色，设有6个二级学院、32个招生专业，重点打造融媒体技术与运营、智能印刷包装技术、现代信息技术、智慧电商物流、学前教育五大专业群。拥有国家级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地、世界技能大赛中国集训基地等150余个校内外实训基地，是湖北省高水平专业群（A档）立项建设单位，为文化传媒行业培养了大批复合型技术技能人才。

With "Digital Intelligence + Information Communication" as its school-running feature, the college has 6 secondary colleges and 32 enrollment majors, focusing on building five major professional groups: integrated media technology and operation, intelligent printing and packaging technology, modern information technology, smart e-commerce logistics, and preschool education. It has more than 150 on-campus and off-campus training bases such as the National Demonstrative Virtual Simulation Training Base and the World Skills Competition China Training Base. It is an approved construction unit of Hubei Provincial High-level Professional Group (Grade A), cultivating a large number of compound technical and skilled talents for the cultural media industry.
