威海职业学院是威海市政府举办的全日制公办普通高等职业学校，于2000年10月经山东省人民政府批准、教育部备案成立，由原威海广播电视大学、威海教育学院和威海市工业学校合并组建而成。2004年9月，原威海市技术学院并入，实行一个班子两块牌子管理。学院是首批28所“国家示范性高等职业院校”之一，国家高技能人才培养示范基地，2019年入选中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划建设单位。

Weihai Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational school sponsored by the Weihai Municipal Government. Approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education in October 2000, it was formed by the merger of the former Weihai Radio and TV University, Weihai College of Education, and Weihai Industrial School. In September 2004, the former Weihai Technical College was merged into the college, implementing a management system of "one leadership team with two brand names". The college is one of the first 28 "National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges", a national demonstration base for high-skilled talent training, and was selected as a construction unit of the China特色高水平高职学校 and专业建设 plan in 2019.

学院坐落于山东省威海市高技术产业开发区，校园占地3048亩，建筑面积40.7万平方米，固定资产9.58亿元。现有高职大专在校生14648人、中高职三二连读在校生645人、技工教育在校生1133人，教职工1280人。开设59个高职教育专业、18个技工教育专业，其中国家级重点专业8个，省级品牌特色专业11个，建有国家级精品课程23门，获国家级教学成果奖2项。

The college is located in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Weihai City, Shandong Province, covering an area of 3048 mu with a building area of 407,000 square meters and fixed assets of 958 million yuan. Currently, it has 14,648 vocational college students, 645 students in the three-two consecutive vocational education program, 1,133 technical education students, and 1,280 faculty members. It offers 59 higher vocational education programs and 18 technical education programs, including 8 national key majors and 11 provincial brand characteristic majors. It has built 23 national excellent courses and won 2 national teaching achievement awards.
