武汉工程大学邮电与信息工程学院创建于2002年，由武汉工程大学与武汉工大资产经营管理有限公司联合举办，是一所以本科教育为主，培养通信、光电、计算机、自动化、化药、材料、机械、土木以及艺术、外语、经管、休闲体育等学科专业领域高素质应用型人才的全日制普通高等学校。学校依托武汉工程大学的优势特色学科专业和优质教育教学资源，持续壮大师资队伍，优化办学模式，完善办学条件。

Wuhan Institute of Technology, Post and Telecommunication Information Engineering College was founded in 2002. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher education jointly established by Wuhan Institute of Technology and Wuhan Gongda Asset Management Co., Ltd., mainly focusing on undergraduate education. It cultivates high-quality applied talents in disciplines such as communication, optoelectronics, computer science, automation, chemical engineering and pharmacy, materials, machinery, civil engineering, as well as art, foreign languages, economics and management, and leisure sports. Relying on the advantageous and characteristic disciplines and high-quality educational resources of Wuhan Institute of Technology, the college continuously strengthens its teaching staff, optimizes its school-running mode, and improves its school-running conditions.

学院拥有两个校区，分别是位于武汉市洪山区虎泉街366号的武汉工程大学武昌校区（占地500余亩）和位于武汉市洪山区邮科院路88号的邮科院校区（占地200余亩）。设有8个学院，现有专兼职教师627人，其中具有硕士学位及以上的比例为91.3%，具有中高级职称的比例85.6%，并从著名高校、科研院所聘请40余名专家学者作为客座教授。建院二十年来，沉淀了“厚德、明志、勤奋、笃行”的院训精神，形成了开放办学、协同育人、依法治校的办学理念，已为社会培养输送3万余名毕业生。

The college has two campuses: the Wuchang Campus of Wuhan Institute of Technology located at No. 366 Huquan Street, Hongshan District, Wuhan (covering an area of more than 500 mu), and the Post and Telecommunication Campus located at No. 88 Youkeyuan Road, Hongshan District, Wuhan (covering an area of more than 200 mu). It has 8 schools and 627 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom 91.3% have master's degree or above, 85.6% have medium or senior professional titles. More than 40 experts and scholars from famous universities and research institutes are employed as visiting professors. Over the past 20 years since its establishment, it has accumulated the school motto spirit of "Houde, Mingzhi, Diligence, Duxing" (Virtue, Aspiration, Diligence, Practice), formed the school-running philosophy of open education, collaborative education, and school governance according to law, and has cultivated and transported more than 30,000 graduates to the society.
