芜湖职业技术大学是教育部批准设立的公办本科层次普通高校，前身为1983年创建的芜湖联合大学，历经多次整合发展，于2025年6月正式升格为职业技术大学。学校是全国首批国家示范性高等职业院校、国家“双高计划”高水平学校建设单位，现有文津、银湖、白马、南陵等校区，占地面积近2200亩，全日制在校生20000余人。

Wuhu Vocational and Technical University is a public undergraduate-level ordinary university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Wuhu United University founded in 1983, and after several integrations and developments, it was officially upgraded to a vocational and technical university in June 2025. The university is one of the first national model higher vocational colleges and a construction unit of high-level schools in the national "Double High Plan". It currently has campuses such as Wenjin, Yinhu, Baima, and Nanling, covering an area of nearly 2200 mu, with more than 20,000 full-time students.

学校设有23个教学单位，开设6个职业本科专业和66个高职专业，涵盖工、文、管、经、艺、农六大学科。依托国家级市域产教联合体和5个行业产教融合共同体，与奇瑞、美的等龙头企业共建20余家现代产业学院，实践课程占比达60%，形成“学历证书+职业技能等级证书”双证培养模式，累计培养技术技能人才超20万名。

The university has 23 teaching units, offering 6 vocational undergraduate majors and 66 higher vocational majors, covering six disciplines including engineering, literature, management, economics, art, and agriculture. Relying on the national urban vocational education consortium and 5 industry-education integration communities, it has jointly established more than 20 modern industrial colleges with leading enterprises such as Chery and Midea. The proportion of practical courses reaches 60%, forming a "academic certificate + vocational skill level certificate" dual-certificate training model, and has cultivated more than 200,000 technical and skilled talents.
