西安美术学院坐落在世界历史文化名城西安，是中国西北地区唯一一所高等专业美术学府，其前身是1949年成立的西北人民艺术学院二部。学校现为陕西省重点建设的“国内一流大学建设高校”，具有博士、硕士、学士学位授予权，形成了“造型、设计、影视动画、美术史论、美育与艺术管理”等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts is located in Xi'an, a world-famous historical and cultural city. It is the only higher professional art institution in northwest China. Its predecessor was the Second Department of Northwest People's Art College founded in 1949. Currently, the university is a key "domestic first-class university construction university" in Shaanxi Province, with the right to grant doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. It has formed a disciplinary and professional system featuring coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as "plastic arts, design, film and television animation, art history, aesthetic education and art management".
