西安交通工程学院是经国家教育部批准的全日制普通本科高等院校，创办于1994年，是陕西省唯一一所以轨道交通类专业为主的普通本科高校。学校坐落于西安市鄠邑区渼陂湖东畔，现有鄠邑校区、东校区和潭滨科技创新园区，校园环境优雅，办学条件优越，拥有现代化的教学楼、图书馆、实验室、文体中心等，按照国家现行铁路运营标准建成了集电气化铁路线路和配套的电力轨道车、通信信号系统、牵引变电站及车站为一体的轨道交通综合实践基地及轨道交通信号联锁实训基地等专业教学实验实训基地；在教育部与中兴通讯建设的全国首批30所高校共建ICT产教融合创新基地项目中是陕西高校唯一一所基地共建签约学校。

Xi'an Traffic Engineering Institute is a full-time ordinary undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education, founded in 1994. It is the only ordinary undergraduate university in Shaanxi Province focusing on rail transit-related majors. Located on the east bank of Meibei Lake in Huyi District, Xi'an, the university has three campuses: Huyi Campus, East Campus, and Tanbin Science and Technology Innovation Park. The campus environment is elegant with superior办学 conditions, including modern teaching buildings, libraries, laboratories, and cultural and sports centers. It has built a comprehensive rail transit practice base integrating electrified railway lines, supporting electric railcars, communication signal systems, traction substations, and stations in accordance with national railway operation standards, as well as professional teaching and training bases such as rail transit signal interlocking training bases. It is the only university in Shaanxi Province signed to co-construct the ICT Industry-Education Integration Innovation Base, one of the first 30 national universities jointly built by the Ministry of Education and ZTE Corporation.

学校现有交通运输学院、机械与电气工程学院、通信与人工智能学院、土木与铁道工程学院、人文与管理学院、马克思主义学院、公共课部等教学单位，在校生万余人。学校是国家轨道交通装备行业产教融合共同体成员单位、中国交通教育研究会常务理事单位、中国民办教育协会党建专业委员会理事单位、中国城市轨道交通协会会员单位等。近年来，先后被授予陕西省五星级党组织、陕西省平安校园、陕西省就业创业指导服务示范性高校、陕西省教育系统文明校园、最佳人才培养奖等荣誉称号。学校坚持人文、科技、创新和谐统一的办学理念，秉承“自强不息、修德载物”的校训和“笃实惟新、负重图强、驰而不息、交通报国”的大学精神，坚持地方性、行业性、应用型办学定位，立足陕西、辐射全国、扎根基层，服务轨道交通行业和区域经济社会发展，经过三十年建设发展，形成了以轨道交通学科专业为主的办学特色，着力建设特色鲜明的应用型本科院校。

The university currently has teaching units such as the School of Transportation, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Communication and Artificial Intelligence, School of Civil and Railway Engineering, School of Humanities and Management, School of Marxism, and Department of Public Courses, with over 10,000 students. It is a member unit of the National Rail Transit Equipment Industry-Education Integration Community, an executive director unit of the China Transportation Education Research Association, a director unit of the Party Building Professional Committee of the China Private Education Association, and a member unit of the China Urban Rail Transit Association. In recent years, it has been awarded honors such as the Five-Star Party Organization of Shaanxi Province, Safe Campus of Shaanxi Province, Demonstrative University for Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Services in Shaanxi Province, Civilized Campus of Shaanxi Provincial Education System, and Best Talent Cultivation Award. Adhering to the educational philosophy of harmonious unity of humanity, technology, and innovation, the university upholds the school motto of "Self-improvement and Virtue" and the university spirit of "Pragmatism, Innovation, Endurance, and Devotion to Transportation". 学校实施人才强校战略，汇聚了一批高学历、高职称的优秀教师，教师队伍中90%以上具有讲师及以上专业技术职务或硕士、博士学位；86名教师入选高层次人才队伍；现有省级教学名师8人。学校现设置本科专业20个，涵盖工学、管理学、教育学、艺术学等学科门类，形成了轨道交通、电子信息、人文与管理三大专业群。轨道交通信号与控制、交通运输、车辆工程、交通工程、通信工程、财务管理6个专业获批陕西省一流专业；交通运输实验教学中心获批为省级实验教学示范中心；火车侠众创空间获批为市级众创空间。学校实施科研兴校战略，注重制度建设、学科建设和平台建设，着力优化学科专业结构、整合学科队伍、凝炼学科方向、搭建学科平台、培育学科特色。

The university implements the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, gathering a group of outstanding teachers with high academic qualifications and professional titles. Over 90% of the teaching staff have the professional title of lecturer or above, or master's or doctoral degrees; 86 teachers have been selected into the high-level talent team; and there are 8 provincial-level teaching masters. Currently, the university offers 20 undergraduate majors covering engineering, management, education, art, and other disciplines, forming three major professional groups: rail transit, electronic information, and humanities and management. Six majors, including Rail Transit Signal and Control, Transportation, Vehicle Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Communication Engineering, and Financial Management, have been approved as first-class majors in Shaanxi Province. The Transportation Experimental Teaching Center has been approved as a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, and the "Huochexia" Mass Innovation Space as a municipal-level mass innovation space. The university implements the strategy of rejuvenating the university through scientific research, focusing on system construction, discipline construction, and platform construction, striving to optimize the discipline and professional structure, integrate discipline teams, refine discipline directions, build discipline platforms, and cultivate discipline characteristics.
