西安思源学院是国家教育部批准设立的普通本科高校、陕西省第一所获批招收港澳台学生资格的民办高校，也是陕西省教育厅等八厅委批准设立的研究生联合培养示范工作站高校。学校成立于1998年，由著名民办教育家周延波教授创建，位于历史文化底蕴深厚的西安市白鹿原，是白鹿原上第一所高校，引领着白鹿原大学城的发展。

Xi'an Siyuan University is an ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the first private university in Shaanxi Province authorized to enroll students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. It is also a university with a postgraduate joint training demonstration workstation approved by eight departments including the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. Founded in 1998 by the renowned private educator Professor Zhou Yanbo, the university is located on the Bailuyuan Plateau in Xi'an, which has profound historical and cultural heritage. As the first university on Bailuyuan, it leads the development of the Bailuyuan University Town.

学校传承西安交通大学西迁精神和治学传统，以建设有特色的高水平应用型大学为目标，已发展成为集工、文、经、管、教、艺、医等学科专业，本科、高职、继续教育及研究生教育协调发展的新型民办大学。现设有14个二级学院和1个继续教育学院，3个硕士研究生联合培养工作站，在校学生近22000人，专任教师1000余名，其中硕士及以上学历占比75%以上，高级职称占比30%以上。

Inheriting the spirit of Xi'an Jiaotong University's westward relocation and academic traditions, the university aims to build a distinctive and high-level application-oriented university. It has developed into a new type of private university with coordinated development of disciplines including engineering, liberal arts, economics, management, education, art, and medicine, covering undergraduate, vocational, continuing education, and postgraduate education. Currently, it has 14 secondary colleges, 1 continuing education college, and 3 joint postgraduate training workstations, with nearly 22,000 students and over 1,000 full-time teachers. Among the teachers, more than 75% have a master's degree or above, and over 30% have senior professional titles.

学校注重学科专业建设与科研创新，拥有省级一流专业建设点6个、省级重点专业4个，获得国家级素质教育教学成果奖及多项省级教学成果奖，建有省级实验教学示范中心5个。先后荣获“全国高校规范化管理示范单位”“全国创新创业教育示范学校”“陕西省绿色大学”等100多项荣誉，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批应用型人才。

The university focuses on discipline construction and scientific research innovation, with 6 provincial-level first-class professional construction sites and 4 provincial key majors. It has won the National Quality Education Teaching Achievement Award and multiple provincial teaching achievement awards, and has built 5 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. It has successively won more than 100 honors such as "National Model Unit for Standardized Management of Colleges and Universities", "National Model School for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education", and "Shaanxi Green University", cultivating a large number of application-oriented talents for regional economic and social development.
