西安铁路职业技术学院创建于1956年，是西安市人民政府主办的全日制普通高等职业院校，西北地区第一所轨道交通运营专业门类齐全的高职院校。学校地处西安市，有港务校区（本部）、自强校区、临潼校区、龙首校区等4个校区，总占地600余亩。现有教职工865人，专任教师中具有硕士、博士学位479人，副教授、教授190余人，“双师素质”教师占专任教师的70%。

Xi'an Railway Vocational & Technical College, founded in 1956, is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the Xi'an Municipal People's Government and the first vocational college in Northwest China with a complete range of rail transit operation majors. Located in Xi'an, the college has 4 campuses including Gangwu Campus (headquarters), Ziqiang Campus, Lintong Campus and Longshou Campus, covering a total area of more than 600 mu. There are 865 faculty members, among whom 479 full-time teachers have master's or doctoral degrees, more than 190 are associate professors or professors, and "double-qualified" teachers account for 70% of full-time teachers.

学校依托行业、面向社会，走产教融合、校企合作之路，开设40余个高职专业，形成了以铁道运输类、城市轨道交通类专业为重点，电力技术类等相关专业为支撑的专业集群，建设有铁道运输类、城市轨道交通类等专业的校内实训基地121个，努力打造“特色鲜明、省内示范、行业领先、国内一流、国际知名”的高职院校。

Relying on the industry and facing the society, the college takes the path of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. It offers more than 40 higher vocational majors, forming a professional cluster with railway transportation and urban rail transit majors as the focus, and power technology and other related majors as the support. There are 121 on-campus training bases for railway transportation, urban rail transit and other majors, striving to build a "distinctive, provincial demonstration, industry-leading, domestically first-class and internationally renowned" higher vocational college.
