宣城职业技术学院肇始于1914年成立的省立第四师范学校，2002年经安徽省人民政府批准，由宣城师范学校、宣州教育学院、宣城广播电视大学、宣城技工学校合并组建，2010年芜湖地区卫校并入，是一所公办全日制普通高等职业院校。学校现有敬亭山（宣州）和桃花潭（泾县）两个校区，是安徽省“双高计划”建设单位、安徽省技能型高水平大学、G60科创走廊高水平应用型协同创新联盟高校。

Xuancheng Vocational and Technical College originated from the Provincial Fourth Normal School founded in 1914. Approved by the People's Government of Anhui Province in 2002, it was established by the merger of Xuancheng Normal School, Xuanzhou Education College, Xuancheng Radio and Television University, and Xuancheng Technical School. In 2010, Wuhu Regional Health School was merged into the college. It is a public full-time higher vocational college with two campuses: Jingting Mountain (Xuanzhou) and Taohuatan (Jingxian). It is a construction unit of Anhui Province's "Double High Plan", a high-level skilled university in Anhui Province, and a member of the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor High-Level Applied Collaborative Innovation Alliance.

学校占地面积1360亩，建筑面积40万平方米，设有信息与财经学院、教育与管理学院、医护学院等5个二级学院和1个基础教学部，开设42个精品专业，形成以学前教育、护理、智能制造、信息技术、财经商贸为主导的专业体系。现有全日制在校生近15000人，教职工700余人，拥有省级教学团队12个、省级技能大师工作室5个，校外实习实训基地86个，先后荣获国家级节约型公共机构示范单位、安徽省校企合作示范校等称号。

The college covers an area of 1360 mu with a building area of 400,000 square meters. It has 5 secondary colleges including the School of Information and Finance, School of Education and Management, School of Medicine and Nursing, and 1 basic teaching department, offering 42 high-quality majors. It has formed a professional system led by preschool education, nursing, intelligent manufacturing, information technology, and finance and commerce. There are nearly 15,000 full-time students and more than 700 faculty members, with 12 provincial-level teaching teams, 5 provincial-level skill master studios, and 86 off-campus internship and training bases. It has successively won titles such as National Model Unit of Economical Public Institutions and Anhui Provincial Model School for School-Enterprise Cooperation.
