新疆工业职业技术学院是由新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等院校，位于乌鲁木齐市经济技术开发区（头屯河区），毗邻宝钢集团八钢公司。学院创办于1958年，前身为新疆钢铁学校，历经六十余年发展，形成了“崇德尚技、百炼成钢”的校训，被誉为“新疆工业技术技能人才培养的摇篮”。

Xinjiang Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education. Located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District) of Urumqi, it is adjacent to Baosteel Group Bayi Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Founded in 1958, the college originated from Xinjiang Iron and Steel School. After more than 60 years of development, it has formed the school motto of "Virtue and Skill, Forging Excellence" and is known as "the cradle of industrial technical talents in Xinjiang".

学院占地208亩，建筑面积3.67万平方米，设有智能冶金、智能制造、智能控制等6大专业群23个高职专业，拥有11个自治区级精品专业、8门自治区级精品课程。教学设备总值超5000万元，建有冶金、机械加工等实训中心及48个实验实训室，全日制在校生5000余人。

The college covers an area of 208 mu with a building area of 36,700 square meters. It offers 23 higher vocational majors in 6 professional groups including intelligent metallurgy, intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent control, with 11 autonomous region-level excellent majors and 8 autonomous region-level excellent courses. The total value of teaching equipment exceeds 50 million yuan, with training centers for metallurgy and mechanical processing, 48 laboratories, and over 5,000 full-time students.

学校坚持产教融合、校企合作，与宝钢集团等企业共建实训基地，承担国家级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地等项目，先后荣获“全国教育系统先进集体”“自治区文明单位”等称号，为新疆工业发展培养了10万余名专业技术人才。

Adhering to industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the college has established training bases with enterprises such as Baosteel Group and undertaken projects including the national demonstration virtual simulation training base. It has been awarded titles such as "National Advanced Collective in Education System" and "Autonomous Region Civilized Unit", cultivating over 100,000 professional and technical talents for Xinjiang's industrial development.
