Xinjiang Medical University is located in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a key provincial university with a glorious tradition and distinct characteristics. It is the only independently established medical college in Xinjiang. 学校学科门类齐全，涵盖医学、理学、工学、管理学、法学等多个领域，其中临床医学、药理学与毒理学、生物学与生物化学等学科进入ESI全球前1%。学校拥有一支结构合理、素质优良的师资队伍，现有各类全日制在校生2万余人，设有22个学院，开设36个本科专业，拥有4个一级学科博士学位授权点，14个一级学科硕士学位授权点，9个专业学位硕士授权点，形成了完整的人才培养体系。
