新疆第二医学院是一所以医学类为主，理学、管理学、工学等多学科协调发展的自治区直属全日制普通本科高校，坐落于被誉为“共和国石油长子”“中国石油工业西圣地”的新疆克拉玛依市。学校前身是2003年创办的新疆医科大学厚博学院，2021年1月经教育部批准正式转设为独立设置的本科高校。

Xinjiang Second Medical College is a public full-time undergraduate university directly under the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, focusing on medical disciplines with coordinated development of science, management, engineering and other fields. It is located in Karamay City, Xinjiang, known as "the eldest son of China's petroleum industry" and "the western holy land of China's petroleum industry". The college originated from Houbo College of Xinjiang Medical University founded in 2003, and was officially restructured into an independent undergraduate institution with the approval of the Ministry of Education in January 2021.

学校秉承“厚德博学、精医致用”校训，倡导“人心向学、传承创新”理念，致力于建设特色鲜明、疆内一流、区域知名的高水平应用型医科大学。校园占地面积1100余亩，建筑面积达24万平方米，建有基础医学楼、临床教学楼、中医药学楼等24栋单体建筑，配备150间专业实验室及43.28万册纸质图书的现代化图书馆。

Adhering to the motto of "Virtue, Erudition, Precision in Medicine and Application", the college advocates the philosophy of "Learning-oriented and Innovative Inheritance", striving to build a distinctive, first-class in Xinjiang and regionally renowned high-level application-oriented medical university. The campus covers an area of over 1100 mu (about 733,333 square meters) with a construction area of 240,000 square meters, including 24 buildings such as Basic Medical Building, Clinical Teaching Building and Chinese Medicine Building, equipped with 150 professional laboratories and a modern library with 432,800 paper books.

学校开设临床医学、口腔医学、护理学等14个本科专业，拥有2个自治区级一流本科专业建设点、8门自治区级一流本科课程，建成基础医学和药学2个自治区级实验教学示范中心。依托与13家医院建立的非隶属附属医院关系及36家三级甲等临床教学基地，构建了完善的实践教学体系，2023年获批国家自然科学基金依托单位，彰显了教学科研协同发展的强劲实力。

The college offers 14 undergraduate majors including Clinical Medicine, Stomatology and Nursing, with 2 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 8 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate courses, and 2 autonomous region-level experimental teaching demonstration centers in Basic Medicine and Pharmacy. Relying on the non-affiliated affiliated hospital relationship with 13 hospitals and 36 tertiary grade A clinical teaching bases, it has built a sound practical teaching system. In 2023, it was approved as a supporting unit for the National Natural Science Foundation, demonstrating strong strength in the coordinated development of teaching and scientific research.
