新疆体育职业技术学院是隶属于新疆维吾尔自治区体育局的公办全日制高等职业院校，前身为始建于1959年的新疆重点业余体校，历经自治区体育运动学校、新疆竞技体育运动学校等发展阶段，2011年11月经自治区人民政府批准、教育部备案后正式成立，位于乌鲁木齐市天山区明华街41号。学院以培养体育技能应用型复合人才和输送高水平体育人才为核心使命，业务接受自治区教育厅指导，同时保留中等职业教育职能。

Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Physical Education is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to the Sports Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was the Xinjiang Key Amateur Sports School founded in 1959, which went through development stages such as the Autonomous Region Sports School and Xinjiang Competitive Sports School. Approved by the Autonomous Region People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education in November 2011, it was officially established and is located at No. 41 Minghua Street, Tianshan District, Urumqi. The college takes cultivating applied sports skill talents and transporting high-level sports talents as its core mission, accepts guidance from the Autonomous Region Education Department, and retains the function of secondary vocational education.

学院占地面积184.3亩，建筑面积67531.34平方米，生均教学行政用房22平方米，教学训练科研仪器设备总值超3000万元，藏书量25万余册。现有教职工134人，其中专任教师116人，大学本科及以上学历者125人（含研究生19人），高级职称教师41人（占比30.6%）。开设运动训练、社会体育、体育教育等专业，其中运动训练专业涵盖田径、球类、冰雪、拳击等12个奥运项目方向，休闲体育服务与管理专业设马术方向，形成以体育职业教育为特色的专业体系。

The college covers an area of 184.3 mu (about 122,867 square meters) with a building area of 67,531.34 square meters, and the per-student teaching and administrative room reaches 22 square meters. The total value of teaching, training and scientific research instruments and equipment exceeds 30 million yuan, and the collection of books is more than 250,000 volumes. There are 134 faculty members, including 116 full-time teachers, 125 with bachelor's degree or above (including 19 postgraduates), and 41 senior title teachers (accounting for 30.6%). It offers majors such as sports training, social sports, and physical education. Among them, the sports training major covers 12 Olympic event directions including track and field, ball games, ice and snow sports, and boxing, and the leisure sports service and management major has an equestrian direction, forming a professional system featuring sports vocational education.

建校以来，学院为国家培养输送了1000余名优秀运动员，获国际及全国性奖牌数百枚，涌现出奥运沙排亚军王洁、射箭季军薛海峰、摔跤季军瓦里汗·赛力克，世锦赛沙排冠军夏欣怡、跆拳道冠军费露露等知名运动员，以及阿的江、杜锋等篮球名将。学院深化校企合作，与专业运动队、体育俱乐部等共建实训基地，毕业生就业率持续攀升，为新疆体育事业和产业发展提供坚实人才支撑。

Since its establishment, the college has cultivated and transported more than 1,000 outstanding athletes for the country, winning hundreds of international and national medals. It has produced famous athletes such as Wang Jie (Olympic beach volleyball silver medalist), Xue Haifeng (Olympic archery bronze medalist), Walihan Sailike (Olympic wrestling bronze medalist), Xia Xinyi (World Championship beach volleyball champion), and Fei Lulu (World Championship taekwondo champion), as well as basketball stars like Adijiang and Du Feng. The college deepens school-enterprise cooperation, co-builds training bases with professional sports teams and sports clubs, and the employment rate of graduates continues to rise, providing solid talent support for the development of sports cause and industry in Xinjiang.
