西安明德理工学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制民办普通高等学校。学校前身是由陕西金叶科教集团与西北工业大学于1999年共同创办的西北工业大学金叶信息技术学院，2005年升格为本科院校并更名为西北工业大学明德学院，2020年3月正式转设为独立设置的民办本科高校，更名为西安明德理工学院。学校在西安市长安区、莲湖区各设1个校区，总占地面积730余亩，校舍建筑面积35万平方米，其中长安校区位于秦岭北麓科教园区，毗邻西北工业大学长安校区和西安三星电子科技产业园区，莲湖校区地处西安市中心文创街区。

Xi'an Mingde Institute of Technology is a full-time private ordinary institution of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Golden Leaf College of Information Technology of Northwestern Polytechnical University, co-founded by Shaanxi Golden Leaf Education Group and Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1999. In 2005, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Mingde College of Northwestern Polytechnical University. In March 2020, it was officially transformed into an independent private undergraduate university and renamed Xi'an Mingde Institute of Technology. The university has two campuses in Chang'an District and Lianhu District of Xi'an, covering a total area of more than 730 mu with a building area of 350,000 square meters. The Chang'an Campus is located in the Qinling North麓 Science and Education Park, adjacent to the Chang'an Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Xi'an Samsung Electronics Technology Industrial Park, while the Lianhu Campus is situated in the cultural and creative block in the center of Xi'an.

学校下设14个二级学院，开设32个本科专业和17个专科专业，形成以工为主，经、管、文、艺、医协调发展的学科专业体系，拥有1个国家级一流本科专业建设点、4个省级一流本科专业建设点，1门国家级一流课程和13门省级一流课程。现有教职工1200人，专任教师900余人，中高级职称占比31.78%，硕士博士教师占比93%，在校生规模达2万人。建校以来累计培养4万余名应用型人才，毕业生毕业去向落实率平均超过90%，考研上线率保持在10%以上，先后荣获"全国先进独立学院""陕西省民办非企业5A等级单位""2023年度全国应用型综合实力高校"等荣誉，2021年在"软科中国民办高校排名"中位列全国第七位、陕西省第一位。

The university has 14 secondary colleges, offering 32 undergraduate programs and 17 junior college programs, forming a disciplinary professional system with engineering as the main focus and coordinated development of economics, management, liberal arts, art, and medicine. It has 1 national first-class undergraduate major construction site, 4 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 1 national first-class course, and 13 provincial first-class courses. Currently, there are 1,200 faculty members, including over 900 full-time teachers, with 31.78% having medium or senior professional titles and 93% holding master's or doctoral degrees, and the student enrollment scale reaches 20,000. Since its establishment, it has cultivated more than 40,000 applied talents, with the average employment rate of graduates exceeding 90% and the postgraduate entrance examination rate remaining above 10%. It has successively won honors such as "National Advanced Independent College", "Shaanxi Provincial Private Non-enterprise 5A Level Unit", and "2023 National Applied Comprehensive Strength University". In 2021, it ranked 7th in the country and 1st in Shaanxi Province in the "Soft Science China Private University Rankings".
