咸宁职业技术学院是经湖北省人民政府批准、教育部备案的综合性公办高职院校，办学历史溯源于1965年创办的咸宁财贸工商管理学校，高等专科教育起始于1976年创办的华中农学院咸宁分院。2003年，由咸宁教育学院、咸宁应用科技学校等五所学校合并组建，正式开启集团化办学新征程。学校现为湖北省“双高计划”建设单位，荣获全国职业教育先进单位、全国创新创业典型经验高校等称号。

Xianning Vocational Technical College is a comprehensive public higher vocational college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its educational history dates back to the Xianning Finance and Trade Management School founded in 1965, with higher vocational education starting from the Xianning Branch of Huazhong Agricultural College established in 1976. In 2003, it was merged from five schools including Xianning Education College and Xianning Applied Science and Technology School, officially initiating a new journey of group-based education. The college is now a construction unit of Hubei Provincial "Double High-Level Plan" and has been awarded titles such as National Advanced Unit in Vocational Education and National Model College for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

学校坐落于“中国香城泉都”——湖北省咸宁市，地处武汉、长沙、南昌三大省会城市经济区地理中心，北距武汉仅23分钟高铁车程。校园占地1086亩，毗邻潜山国家森林公园，内有友岚湖等自然景观，外有淦河环绕，获评省级园林式单位，被誉为“森林中的校园”。现有全日制在校生21490人，教职工1100人，其中教授、副教授310人，双师型教师占比达90.06%。

The college is located in Xianning City, Hubei Province, known as "China's Fragrant City and Spring Capital". It is geographically positioned at the economic center of the three provincial capital cities of Wuhan, Changsha, and Nanchang, with a high-speed rail journey of only 23 minutes north to Wuhan. Covering an area of 1086 mu, the campus adjoins Qianshan National Forest Park, featuring natural landscapes such as Youlan Lake inside and surrounded by Gan River outside. It has been awarded the title of Provincial Garden-style Unit and is praised as "a campus in the forest". Currently, it has 21,490 full-time students and 1,100 faculty members, including 310 professors and associate professors, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 90.06%.

学校构建现代农业、智能制造、财经商贸等七大专业群，开设42个高职专业，其中国家级骨干专业5个、省级重点特色专业10个，大数据与会计、现代农业技术专业群入选湖北省高水平专业群。建有国家级生产性实训基地3个、国家级技能大师工作室1个，教学仪器设备总值超1.5亿元，与300余家企业共建实训基地，形成“教室-实训室-生产车间”三位一体的实践教学体系。

The college has established seven major professional groups including modern agriculture, intelligent manufacturing, and finance and trade, offering 42 higher vocational majors. Among them, there are 5 national-level key majors and 10 provincial-level key characteristic majors. The professional groups of Big Data and Accounting, and Modern Agricultural Technology have been selected into Hubei Provincial High-level Professional Groups. It has built 3 national-level productive training bases, 1 national-level skill master studio, with teaching equipment worth over 150 million yuan. It has jointly built training bases with more than 300 enterprises, forming a trinity practical teaching system of "classroom-training room-production workshop".

近年来，学校深化产教融合，创新“乡村振兴人才培养”模式，累计培养“脱贫致富带头人、电商创业合伙人、基层组织建设接班人”2000余人，培训新型职业农民3.5万人次。学生在全国职业院校技能大赛中获奖200余项，应届毕业生就业率连续保持在97%以上，为区域经济社会发展输送了10余万技术技能人才。

In recent years, the college has deepened the integration of industry and education, innovated the "rural revitalization talent training" model, and has cultivated more than 2,000 "poverty alleviation leaders, e-commerce entrepreneurship partners, and grass-roots organization construction successors", training 35,000 new-type professional farmers. Students have won more than 200 awards in national vocational college skills competitions, and the employment rate of fresh graduates has remained above 97% for consecutive years, delivering over 100,000 technical and skilled talents for regional economic and social development.
