西安培华学院坐落于华夏文明的发祥地古都西安，办学历史悠久，文化积淀深厚，具有女性教育和职业教育的传承与特色。其前身可追溯至1928年由陕西女子职业教育促进会筹办、陕西省教育厅批准设立的西安第一女子平民职业学校。1984年，经陕西省人民政府批准、国家教委备案，著名教育家姜维之先生在恢复原培华女子职业学校的基础上，成立了新中国首家专门招收女性学生、开展女性教育的普通高校——西安培华女子大学。2003年，学校经教育部批准升格为本科院校并更名为西安培华学院（男女兼收）；2007年成为西部首家获得学士学位授予权的民办高校；2013年顺利通过教育部本科教学合格评估；2014年获批为陕西省首批应用型建设试点院校；2017年列入陕西省新增硕士学位授予单位建设规划；2018年获批为陕西省一流学院建设单位；2023年通过教育部本科教育教学审核评估。

Xi'an Peihua University is located in Xi'an, an ancient capital and the birthplace of Chinese civilization. It has a long history of running schools, profound cultural heritage, and inherits and features female education and vocational education. Its predecessor can be traced back to Xi'an First Women's Civilian Vocational School founded in 1928 by Shaanxi Women's Vocational Education Promotion Association and approved by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. In 1984, with the approval of Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the record of the State Education Commission, Mr. Jiang Weizhi, a famous educator, established Xi'an Peihua Women's University, the first ordinary university in New China that specially enrolled female students and carried out female education, on the basis of restoring the original Peihua Women's Vocational School. In 2003, the university was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Xi'an Peihua University (admitting both men and women); in 2007, it became the first private university in western China to be authorized to grant bachelor's degrees; in 2013, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education; in 2014, it was approved as the first batch of applied construction pilot colleges in Shaanxi Province; in 2017, it was included in the construction plan of新增 master's degree awarding units in Shaanxi Province; in 2018, it was approved as a first-class college construction unit in Shaanxi Province; and in 2023, it passed the undergraduate education teaching audit assessment of the Ministry of Education.

学校现有长安校区、高新校区和郭杜教学基地，总占地面积117.23万平方米，校舍建筑面积67.83万平方米。校园设施完善，行政楼、教学楼、实验中心、学生宿舍、体育馆、图书馆、游泳馆、校医院、学术交流中心等一应俱全。图书馆馆藏纸质图书269.29万册，电子图书194万册，电子期刊2.3万种，数字化文献资源总存储容量达176T，全面实现24小时电子借阅与阅览。校内建有全橡胶标准体育场、灯光篮球场、羽毛球场、网球场等运动场所，并设有综合性医院——西安培华学院医院，拥有陕西省第五人民医院、西安市第五人民医院等多家附属医院。

The university currently has three campuses: Chang'an Campus, Gaoxin Campus and Guodu Teaching Base, covering a total area of 1.1723 million square meters with a building area of 678,300 square meters. The campus has complete facilities, including administrative buildings, teaching buildings, experimental centers, student dormitories, gymnasiums, libraries, swimming pools, university hospitals, academic exchange centers, etc. The library has a collection of 2.6929 million paper books, 1.94 million e-books, 23,000 electronic journals, and the total storage capacity of digital literature resources reaches 176T, realizing 24-hour electronic borrowing and reading. The university has a full-rubber standard stadium, lighted basketball courts, badminton courts, tennis courts and other sports venues, and a comprehensive hospital - Xi'an Peihua University Hospital, with several affiliated hospitals such as Shaanxi Provincial Fifth People's Hospital and Xi'an Fifth People's Hospital.

学校学科专业建设成效显著，是陕西省首批转型发展试点院校，全国民办高校体育联盟、未来大学联盟、应用型课程建设联盟发起单位。设有10个二级学院，39个本科专业、11个专科专业，涵盖工学、医学、管理学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、艺术学等八大学科门类，普通本专科在校生2.3万余人。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点、陕西省一流专业建设点、省级实验教学示范中心、省级虚拟仿真实验教学中心等教学平台。师资队伍力量雄厚，现有专兼职教师1200余人，高级职称教师占比超30%，硕士博士学位教师占比87%，涌现出一批国家自然（社会）科学基金获得者、陕西省教学名师等优秀教师。

The university has achieved remarkable results in discipline and specialty construction. It is one of the first pilot universities for transformation and development in Shaanxi Province, and a founding unit of the National Private University Sports Alliance, the Future University Alliance, and the Applied Curriculum Construction Alliance. It has 10 secondary colleges, 39 undergraduate majors and 11 junior college majors, covering eight disciplines including engineering, medicine, management, economics, law, education, literature and art, with more than 23,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students. It has teaching platforms such as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, Shaanxi first-class major construction sites, provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, and provincial virtual simulation experimental teaching centers. The faculty is strong, with more than 1,200 full-time and part-time teachers, over 30% of whom have senior titles, and 87% have master's or doctoral degrees. A number of outstanding teachers have emerged, such as winners of the National Natural Science Foundation (Social Science Foundation) and Shaanxi Provincial Teaching Masters.
