西安工程大学是一所办学历史悠久、特色鲜明的省属高水平大学，其前身是1912年创办的北京高等工业专门学校机织科。学校历经百年发展，已成为一所以工为主，纺织、服装为特色，工、理、文、管、经、法、艺等多学科协调发展的高等院校。

Xi'an Polytechnic University is a provincial-level high-level university with a long history and distinctive characteristics. Its predecessor was the Weaving Department of Beijing Higher Industrial School founded in 1912. After a century of development, the university has become an institution of higher education mainly focusing on engineering, with textiles and clothing as its features, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, liberal arts, management, economics, law, and art.

学校现有金花、临潼两个校区，占地约80万平方米，设有15个学院（部），开设63个本科专业。拥有一级学科博士学位授权点1个，一级学科硕士学位授权点16个，硕士专业学位授权类别19个，形成了较为完善的学位授权体系。

The university currently has two campuses, Jinhua and Lintong, covering an area of approximately 800,000 square meters. It has 15 colleges (departments) and offers 63 undergraduate majors. It has 1 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization point, 16 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 19 master's professional degree authorization categories, forming a relatively complete degree authorization system.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，注重人才培养质量，在教学改革、科学研究、社会服务等方面取得了显著成就。近年来，获国家级教学成果奖5项，省部级教学成果奖70余项；承担国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金等国家级项目130余项，科研成果获省部级以上奖励100余项，为区域经济社会发展和行业进步作出了重要贡献。

The university always adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating people with morality, pays attention to the quality of talent training, and has achieved remarkable achievements in teaching reform, scientific research, and social services. In recent years, it has won 5 national teaching achievement awards and more than 70 provincial and ministerial teaching achievement awards; undertaken more than 130 national-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation; and its scientific research achievements have won more than 100 awards above the provincial and ministerial level, making important contributions to regional economic and social development and industry progress.
