湘潭理工学院（Xiangtan Institute of Technology）位于湘江科学城、长株潭大河西科创走廊的中心结点，地处湖南省湘潭市九华经开区，是经教育部批准的湖南省第一所完成独立学院转设的普通本科高校，人社部吉利博士后科研工作站联合培养单位。学校前身为成立于2001年的湖南工商大学北津学院，2020年6月转设为独立设置的民办非营利性普通高校，由世界500强企业吉利集团举办。

Xiangtan Institute of Technology is located in Jiuhua Economic Development Zone, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, at the central node of the Xiangjiang Science City and the West Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. It is the first ordinary undergraduate university in Hunan Province approved by the Ministry of Education to complete the transformation from an independent college, and a joint training unit of the Geely Postdoctoral Research Station under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Formerly known as Beijin College of Hunan University of Technology and Business founded in 2001, it was transformed into an independent non-profit private undergraduate university in June 2020 and is sponsored by Geely Group, a Fortune Global 500 company.

学校涵盖理学、工学、经济学、管理学、法学、文学、艺术学七大学科门类，开设38个本科专业，面向全国17个省（直辖市、自治区）招生，现有在校学生近10000人。学校以产教融合为特色，聚焦“新工科”和“新商科”，学习借鉴国际先进办学经验，致力于培养应用型、创新型人才，打造新型国际化应用型大学。

The university covers seven disciplines: science, engineering, economics, management, law, literature, and art, offering 38 undergraduate programs and enrolling students from 17 provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions) across the country, with nearly 10,000 current students. Featuring industry-education integration, it focuses on "new engineering" and "new business", learns from advanced international educational experiences, and is committed to cultivating applied and innovative talents to build a new international application-oriented university.
