邢台学院始建于1910年，前身是直隶第四初级师范学堂，2002年经教育部批准升格为全日制普通本科院校，是一所省市共建、以市为主的综合性本科高校。学校秉承“纯德实学”校训，形成了师范教育与应用发展并重的办学特色，现有56个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级重点发展学科3个，全日制在校生17666人。

Xingtai University was founded in 1910, originally known as Zhili No.4 Primary Normal School. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002, it was upgraded to a full-time ordinary undergraduate university, jointly built by the province and city with municipal administration as the main body. Adhering to the motto of "Pure Virtue and Practical Learning", the university has formed a dual-focused educational feature integrating teacher education and applied development. It currently offers 56 undergraduate programs, including 3 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 3 provincial key development disciplines, with 17,666 full-time students.

学校教学科研实力雄厚，拥有省级重点实验室、技术创新中心等科研平台10个，省级外国院士工作站1个。近五年教师承担国家和省部级科研项目66项，获授权专利63项，出版专著83部。校园文化特色鲜明，建有邢窑白瓷中华优秀传统文化传承基地、郭守敬研究中心等平台，着力打造“一河、一窑、一址、一历史”生态文化校园。

The university boasts strong teaching and research capabilities, housing 10 research platforms such as provincial key laboratories and technological innovation centers, along with 1 provincial foreign academician workstation. In the past five years, faculty members have undertaken 66 national and ministerial-level research projects, obtained 63 authorized patents, and published 83 monographs. With distinctive campus culture, it has established platforms like the Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Inheritance Base (Xing Kiln White Porcelain) and Guo Shoujing Research Center, striving to build an ecological cultural campus featuring "one river, one kiln, one site, one history".
