仙桃职业学院是一所经湖北省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等学校，其前身是创办于1939年的湖北省立第一师范学校，2001年在仙桃师范学校和仙桃卫生学校的基础上成立。学校2020年被省教育厅认定为优质专科高职学校，2022年被省教育厅、省财政厅立项为全省29所“双高计划”（高水平高职院校、高水平专业群）建设院校之一，跻身全省高职教育第一方阵。学校坐落于“亚洲体操之乡”——湖北省仙桃市，占地面积988亩，校舍建筑面积40余万平方米，教学仪器设备总值7650余万元，馆藏各类图书80余万册，现有教职工723人，其中正副教授215人，各类学生20000余人。

Xiantao Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its predecessor was Hubei Provincial First Normal School founded in 1939. It was established in 2001 on the basis of Xiantao Normal School and Xiantao Health School. In 2020, the school was recognized as a high-quality vocational college by the Provincial Department of Education, and in 2022, it was approved by the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Finance as one of the 29 "Double-High Plan" (high-level vocational colleges, high-level professional groups) construction institutions in the province, ranking among the first echelon of higher vocational education in the province. The school is located in Xiantao City, Hubei Province, known as the "Hometown of Gymnastics in Asia". It covers an area of 988 mu, with a school building area of more than 400,000 square meters, teaching equipment worth more than 76.5 million yuan, and a collection of more than 800,000 books of various types. There are 723 faculty members, including 215 professors and associate professors, and more than 20,000 students of various types.

学校设有医学院、教育学院、机械电子工程学院、非织造布产业学院、经济与管理学院、计算机科学技术学院、继续教育和培训学院等7个二级学院，开设27个专业，其中护理、物联网应用技术、电子商务是国家级骨干专业，机电一体化技术是国家级现代学徒制专业，学前教育、会计是中央财政支持建设专业。学校建有6个国家级生产性实训基地、1个国家级双师型教师培养培训基地、5个省级实训基地、100余个校内实训室和200余个校外实训基地，先后荣获“全国现代学徒制试点单位”“全国1+X证书制度试点院校”“全国国防教育特色学校”等称号，毕业生就业率保持在95%以上。

The school has 7 secondary colleges, including the School of Medicine, School of Education, School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Non-woven Industry College, School of Economics and Management, School of Computer Science and Technology, and School of Continuing Education and Training, offering 27 majors. Among them, Nursing, Internet of Things Application Technology, and E-commerce are national key majors; Mechatronics Technology is a national modern apprenticeship major; Preschool Education and Accounting are majors supported by the central finance. The school has built 6 national productive training bases, 1 national training base for double-qualified teachers, 5 provincial training bases, more than 100 on-campus training rooms and more than 200 off-campus training bases. It has successively won the titles of "National Modern Apprenticeship Pilot Unit", "National 1+X Certificate System Pilot Institution", "National Defense Education Characteristic School", etc. The employment rate of graduates remains above 95%.
