新乡工程学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制民办普通本科高校，其前身是创建于2003年的河南科技学院新科学院，2021年经国务院教育行政部门审批转设更名。学校地处中原名城新乡市，现有南、北和大学科技园三个校区，规划占地面积2200亩，规划总建筑面积110万平方米，校区为河南省重点建设工程，全部建成后可容纳3万余名学生。校园配套设施完善，建有图书馆、标准化运动场（国家二级）、省级标准化餐厅、宿舍楼等，满足在校生的学习、生活和实践需求。

Xinxiang Institute of Engineering is a full-time private ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Xinke College of Henan Institute of Science and Technology, founded in 2003. In 2021, it was renamed Xinxiang Institute of Engineering upon approval by the education administrative department of the State Council. Located in the famous central plain city of Xinxiang, the university currently has three campuses: South, North and University Science and Technology Park, with a planned area of 2,200 mu and a planned total construction area of 1.1 million square meters. The campus is a key construction project in Henan Province and can accommodate more than 30,000 students when fully completed. The campus has complete supporting facilities, including a library, a standard sports ground (national second-class), a provincial standard restaurant, dormitory buildings, etc., to meet the learning, living and practical needs of students.

学校以理工科见长，经济学、管理学、法学、文学、理学、工学、农学、艺术学等八大学科门类互相渗透、协调发展，设有12个教学学院，现有本科专业43个，专科专业10个。其中，新一轮河南省重点学科（2023-2027年）3个；河南省综合改革试点专业2个，河南省一流本科专业建设点2个，河南省民办普通高等学校专业建设资助项目5个；获批省级工程（技术）研究中心和市厅级科技创新平台10个，河南省重点现代产业学院、特色行业学院2个。

The university excels in science and engineering, with eight disciplines including economics, management, law, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, and art infiltrating and developing in coordination. It has 12 teaching colleges, offering 43 undergraduate majors and 10 junior college majors. Among them, there are 3 key disciplines in Henan Province in the new round (2023-2027); 2 comprehensive reform pilot majors in Henan Province, 2 first-class undergraduate major construction sites in Henan Province, and 5 professional construction funding projects for private ordinary colleges and universities in Henan Province; 10 provincial engineering (technology) research centers and municipal-level scientific and technological innovation platforms have been approved, as well as 2 key modern industrial colleges and characteristic industry colleges in Henan Province.

学校高度重视师资队伍建设，现有教职工1400余人，其中具有高级职称的教师近500人。近年来，80余名教师荣获全国优秀教师、中国好人、河南省高校青年骨干教师等荣誉称号。学校秉持开放办学理念，与法国、日本、马来西亚等国家多所高校建立合作关系，开展学分互认、国际本科等项目，获批德国博世应用型和技术技能型人才培养合作试点项目首批培育建设单位。

The university attaches great importance to the construction of the teaching staff, with more than 1,400 faculty members, including nearly 500 teachers with senior professional titles. In recent years, more than 80 teachers have won honorary titles such as National Excellent Teacher, Chinese Good Person, and Young Backbone Teacher in Colleges and Universities of Henan Province. Adhering to the concept of open education, the university has established cooperative relations with many universities in France, Japan, Malaysia and other countries, carried out projects such as credit recognition and international undergraduate programs, and was approved as the first batch of cultivation and construction units for the Bosch applied and technical skilled talent training cooperation pilot project in Germany.

遵循“让家长放心、使社会认可、对国家有用”的人才培养理念，近三年学生在全国大学生数学建模竞赛、“挑战杯”等比赛中累计获得国家级奖项近300项，省级奖项1000余项。2025年四年制本科各专业考研平均过线率达37%，平均升学率达15.48%。学校先后获得河南省“五好”基层党组织、河南省优秀民办高校等荣誉称号。

Following the talent training concept of "reassuring parents, gaining social recognition, and being useful to the country", in the past three years, students have won nearly 300 national awards and more than 1,000 provincial awards in competitions such as the National College Students Mathematical Modeling Competition and the "Challenge Cup". In 2025, the average postgraduate entrance examination passing rate for four-year undergraduate majors reached 37%, and the average enrollment rate was 15.48%. The university has successively won honorary titles such as "Five Good" Grassroots Party Organization in Henan Province and Excellent Private University in Henan Province.
