信阳学院位于鄂豫皖区域性中心城市、全国文明城市河南省信阳市。学校创办于2003年，前身为信阳师范学院华锐学院，2016年经教育部批准转设为全日制民办普通本科高校，是豫南地区首所民办普通本科高校。

Xinyang University is located in Xinyang City, Henan Province, a regional central city in Hubei-Henan-Anhui and a national civilized city. Founded in 2003, the university was formerly known as Huarui College of Xinyang Normal University. In 2016, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into a full-time private ordinary undergraduate university, being the first private ordinary undergraduate university in southern Henan.

学校坚持社会主义办学方向，全面贯彻党的教育方针，秉承“求真创新、勤学笃行”校训，弘扬“爱国诚信、朴实尚学”校风。设有12个二级学院和公共体育教学部，开设本科专业54个，涉及9大学科门类，获批硕士学位授予立项建设单位，拥有河南省重点学科4个，省级一流本科专业建设点4个。

Adhering to the socialist orientation in running schools and fully implementing the Party's educational policy, the university upholds the school motto of "Seeking Truth and Innovation, Diligent Study and Earnest Practice" and promotes the school spirit of "Patriotism, Integrity, Simplicity and Emphasis on Learning". It has 12 secondary colleges and a Public Physical Education Department, offering 54 undergraduate majors covering 9 disciplines. It has been approved as a project construction unit for granting master's degrees, with 4 key disciplines in Henan Province and 4 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

校园环境优美，被誉为“河南最美大学校园”，各类教学设施一流，现有实验（训）室113个，馆藏纸质图书220余万册。学校注重创新创业教育，众创空间累计孵化团队和企业229家，毕业生年终毕业去向落实率达95%以上，先后荣获“河南省优秀民办学校”“河南省文明校园”等多项荣誉称号。

The campus has a beautiful environment and is known as "the most beautiful university campus in Henan". It has first-class teaching facilities, including 113 laboratories (training rooms) and a collection of more than 2.2 million paper books. The university attaches importance to innovation and entrepreneurship education, with its makerspace having incubated 229 teams and enterprises. The annual employment rate of graduates has reached over 95%, and it has successively won many honors such as "Excellent Private School in Henan Province" and "Civilized Campus in Henan Province".
