襄阳职业技术学院是经湖北省人民政府批准、教育部备案，于2000年8月组建的公办全日制普通高等职业院校。学校占地面积1885.2亩，校舍总面积68.02万平方米，全日制高职生1.6万余人，是国家骨干高职院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校、全国文明单位、黄炎培职业教育优秀奖学校、国家“双高计划”立项建设单位、教育部高职高专人才培养工作水平评估优秀等级院校。

Xiangyang Polytechnic is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education, established in August 2000. The college covers an area of 1,885.2 mu with a total school building area of 680,200 square meters, and has over 16,000 full-time vocational students. It is a National Key Vocational College, National High-Quality Vocational College, National Civilized Unit, recipient of the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellence Award, a project-constructing unit of the National "Double High Plan", and an excellent-rated college in the talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education.

学校坚持“立德树人、以用立业”办学理念，秉承“扎根襄阳，服务湖北，辐射汉江流域”的服务面向，构建了“1233”办学模式、“三会主导、四方联动”合作办学体制及“岗课证融通、育训创一体”人才培养模式。现有教职工1365名，其中教授57人、副教授287人，“双师型”教师占比61.31%；开设47个专业，其中国家级重点骨干专业15个，特殊教育专业群为国家“双高计划”立项建设高水平专业群，护理、医学影像技术等5个专业为国家骨干高职院校重点建设专业，与武汉轻工大学等本科高校联合开展7个专业的本科层次人才培养。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Establishing Morality and Cultivating People, Building Careers through Application" and the service orientation of "Rooted in Xiangyang, Serving Hubei, and Radiating the Han River Basin", the college has constructed a "1233" school-running model, a "three councils leading, four parties linking" cooperative education system, and a talent training model integrating "post-course-certificate integration and education-training-innovation integration". It has 1,365 faculty members, including 57 professors and 287 associate professors, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 61.31%. The college offers 47 majors, including 15 national key backbone majors. The special education professional group is a high-level professional group under the National "Double High Plan", 5 majors such as Nursing and Medical Imaging Technology are key construction majors of national backbone vocational colleges, and it jointly carries out undergraduate-level talent training in 7 majors with universities like Wuhan Polytechnic University.

学校建有国家级实训基地9个、实验实训场所408个，教学仪器设备总值3.12亿元，拥有一所二级优秀附属医院；近年来学生获国家级技能大赛奖项897项，毕业生年终就业率保持在98%以上，先后培养党的二十大代表顾娟、全国乡村振兴青年先锋刘雨薇等杰出人才，获评全国高职院校服务贡献50强、教学资源50强。

The college has 9 national-level training bases, 408 experimental and training sites, with teaching equipment worth 312 million yuan, and an excellent secondary affiliated hospital. In recent years, students have won 897 national-level skill competition awards, and the annual employment rate of graduates has remained above 98%. It has cultivated outstanding talents such as Gu Juan, a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and Liu Yuwei, a national youth pioneer in rural revitalization. The college has been rated among the Top 50 Higher Vocational Colleges in Service Contribution and Top 50 in Teaching Resources in China.
