盐城师范学院是江苏省属公办本科院校，坐落在江苏沿海开放城市盐城市市区。学校创建于1958年，前身是盐城师范专科学校和盐城教育学院；2002年国家级重点中专盐城商业学校并入，2024年获批硕士学位授予单位。

Yancheng Normal University is a public undergraduate institution affiliated to Jiangsu Province, located in the urban area of Yancheng, a coastal open city in Jiangsu. Founded in 1958, its predecessors were Yancheng Normal College and Yancheng College of Education; in 2002, Yancheng Commercial School, a national key secondary vocational school, was merged into it, and in 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit.

学校现有通榆和新长两个校区，校园占地面积1500亩，设有18个二级学院，60个本科招生专业，全日制在校本科生22000余人。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点10个、国家级特色专业建设点3个，14个师范类专业全部通过教育部师范类专业认证（第二级），软件工程专业通过工程教育专业认证。

The university has two campuses, Tongyu and Xinchang, covering an area of 1500 mu. It has 18 secondary colleges, 60 undergraduate enrollment majors, and more than 22,000 full-time undergraduates. It has 10 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 3 national characteristic major construction sites, 14 normal majors have all passed the Ministry of Education's normal professional certification (second level), and the software engineering major has passed the engineering education professional certification.
