燕京理工学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通高等本科院校，其前身是中国优秀独立学院——北京化工大学北方学院。2013年经教育部批准转设更名为燕京理工学院，2015年成为河北省首批转型发展试点高校，2016年入选河北省硕士学位授予立项建设单位。学校位于河北省廊坊市燕郊国家高新技术产业开发区，毗邻北京行政副中心，距天安门直线距离仅38公里，处于京津冀协同发展先行示范区和环首都、京津冀、环渤海三大经济圈的核心区域。

Yanching Institute of Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the North College of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, an excellent independent college in China. In 2013, it was renamed Yanching Institute of Technology upon approval by the Ministry of Education. In 2015, it became one of the first pilot universities for transformation and development in Hebei Province, and in 2016, it was selected as a project construction unit for granting master's degrees in Hebei Province. The university is located in the Yanjiao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Langfang City, Hebei Province, adjacent to the Beijing Administrative Sub-center, with a straight-line distance of only 38 kilometers from Tiananmen Square. It is in the core area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development pilot demonstration zone and the three major economic circles of the Capital Circle, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and Bohai Rim.

学校坚持“育人为本，服务社会；质量立校，特色强校”的办学理念，恪守“勤奋创新 璞玉成器”的校训精神，形成“3+1”（理论教育与应用能力训练）、“1+N”（学历证书加多个职业资格证书）人才培养模式，培养以“四会五有”（会做人、会学习、会做事、会与人共处；有感恩之心、有博大胸怀、有吃苦精神、有创新意识、有创业能力）为核心的高素质应用型人才。现设有12个二级学院，63个本科专业和24个专科专业，构建了以工学、管理学为主，工、管、艺、文、经、理、法、教育、医多学科协调发展的学科专业布局。

The university adheres to the school-running philosophy of "Education-oriented, serving the society; Quality-based, characteristic-strengthening", abides by the school motto of "Diligence, Innovation, and Polishing Jade into a Useful Tool", and has formed the "3+1" (theoretical education and application ability training) and "1+N" (academic certificate plus multiple vocational qualification certificates) talent training models. It aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents with the core of "Four Abilities and Five Qualities" (ability to behave, learn, work, and get along with others; with a grateful heart, broad mind, hard-working spirit, innovative awareness, and entrepreneurial ability). Currently, it has 12 secondary colleges, 63 undergraduate majors, and 24 junior college majors, forming a discipline and professional layout dominated by engineering and management, with coordinated development of engineering, management, art, literature, economics, science, law, education, and medicine.

校园环境优美，绿化面积达60%以上，拥有现代化教学楼、实验室、体育场及京津冀地区同类学校规模最大的图书馆。注重实践教学，建有18个大型实验实训中心和183个专业实验室，与350余家企业建立实习就业基地，毕业生就业率连续多年保持在95%以上，45%以上学子在北京就业。积极开展国际交流合作，与全球200多所知名高校建立合作关系，诺贝尔经济学奖得主埃里克·马斯金等国际知名学者受聘为名誉教授，为学生提供广阔国际视野。

The campus has a beautiful environment with a greening rate of over 60%, and is equipped with modern teaching buildings, laboratories, stadiums, and the largest library among similar schools in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Focusing on practical teaching, it has built 18 large-scale experimental training centers and 183 professional laboratories, and established internship and employment bases with more than 350 enterprises. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 95% for many years, with more than 45% of students employed in Beijing. It actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, having established cooperative relations with more than 200 well-known universities worldwide. International renowned scholars such as Eric Maskin, the Nobel laureate in Economics, have been appointed as honorary professors, providing students with a broad international perspective.
