云南工商学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科高校，现有在校生26000余人，是全国首批探索高水平应用型本科教育的院校，也是云南省同类院校中第一家通过本科教学工作合格评估的高校。2024年学校获批省级立项建设新增硕士学位授予单位，位居2025校友会排名全国第9，被评为6星级中国顶尖应用型大学。

Yunnan Technology and Business University is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, with more than 26,000 students. It is one of the first institutions in China to explore high-level application-oriented undergraduate education and the first university of its kind in Yunnan Province to pass the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment. In 2024, the university was approved as a provincial-level project to build a new master's degree-granting unit, ranking 9th in the 2025 Alumni Association ranking and rated as a 6-star top application-oriented university in China.
