云南水利水电职业学院是经云南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的国家公办全日制普通高等职业技术学院，始建于1956年，前身为云南省水利水电学校，2016年整体升格为职业学院。学校以培养水利电力建设、运行、管理人才为特色，占地面积近700亩，现有富民和蓝龙潭两个校区，校舍面积22.85万平方米，下设水利、电力、土木、管理、人工智能等8个二级学院，形成了以水利水电类专业为骨干，土木、电力、信息技术等多学科协调发展的专业体系。

Yunnan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Vocational College is a public full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1956, its predecessor was Yunnan Water Conservancy and Hydropower School, which was upgraded to a vocational college in 2016. With the characteristic of cultivating talents for water conservancy and electric power construction, operation and management, the college covers an area of nearly 700 mu, with two campuses in Fumin and Lanlongtan, and a school building area of 228,500 square meters. It has 8 secondary colleges including Water Conservancy, Electric Power, Civil Engineering, Management, and Artificial Intelligence, forming a professional system with water conservancy and hydropower majors as the backbone and coordinated development of civil engineering, electric power, information technology and other disciplines.

学校坚持“上善若水，知行合一”的校训，着力培养水利水电行业第一线的高素质技术技能人才，建校以来已为社会输送4万余名毕业生，被誉为“水利水电工程师摇篮”。现有本科以上学历专任教师105人，其中副高级以上职称教师占比40.9%，“双师型”教师队伍特色鲜明。拥有虚拟仿真实验教学中心、水利水电实训基地等实践教学设施，与行业企业共建10余个思想政治教育实践基地，形成了产教融合、校企合作的办学模式。

Adhering to the school motto of "The highest virtue is like water, integrating knowledge and practice", the college strives to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents for the frontline of water conservancy and hydropower industry. Since its establishment, it has trained more than 40,000 graduates for the society and is known as "the cradle of water conservancy and hydropower engineers". There are 105 full-time teachers with bachelor's degree or above, among whom 40.9% have senior titles or above, and the "double-qualified" teacher team has distinct characteristics. It has practical teaching facilities such as virtual simulation experimental teaching center and water conservancy and hydropower training base, and has jointly built more than 10 ideological and political education practice bases with industry enterprises, forming a school-running model of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.
