云南大学是国家“双一流”建设高校、211工程重点建设大学，坐落于云南省昆明市。学校始建于1922年，前身为东陆大学，历经百年发展，已成为一所涵盖文、史、哲、经、管、法、理、工、农、医、教育、艺术等12大学科门类的综合性大学。学校以“会泽百家、至公天下”为校训，秉持“立足边疆、服务云南、辐射两亚、走向世界”的办学定位，在民族学、生态学、统计学、特色资源开发与环境保护、区域经济与边疆治理等学科领域形成了鲜明特色和优势。

Yunnan University is a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a key university under the 211 Project, located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Founded in 1922 as Donglu University, the university has developed into a comprehensive university covering 12 disciplines including arts, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, education, and art after a century of development. With the school motto of "Huize Baijia, Zhigong Tianxia" (Embracing Hundreds of Schools, Serving the World with Justice), the university adheres to the school-running orientation of "Based on the Frontier, Serving Yunnan, Radiating to Two Asia, and Going to the World", and has formed distinct characteristics and advantages in disciplines such as ethnology, ecology, statistics, development and protection of characteristic resources, regional economy and border governance.

学校现有呈贡、东陆两校区，校园环境优美，文化底蕴深厚。拥有国家级重点学科4个，国家级一流本科专业建设点45个，省级一流本科专业建设点23个；有全日制在校生3万余人，其中本科生1.6万余人，硕士、博士研究生1.4万余人，留学生1000余人。学校积极开展国际交流合作，与全球80多个国家和地区的200多所高校及科研机构建立了合作关系，是中国面向南亚、东南亚开放的重要教育文化交流窗口。

The university currently has two campuses: Chenggong and Donglu, with a beautiful campus environment and profound cultural heritage. It has 4 national key disciplines, 45 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 23 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites; there are more than 30,000 full-time students, including more than 16,000 undergraduates, more than 14,000 master's and doctoral students, and more than 1,000 international students. The university actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, and has established cooperative relations with more than 200 universities and scientific research institutions in more than 80 countries and regions around the world. It is an important educational and cultural exchange window for China to open to South Asia and Southeast Asia.
