阳泉师范高等专科学校坐落在山西省阳泉市平定县冠山镇上城街59号，其前身是1949年2月成立的山西省立平定师范学校，1989年同址创办山西省特殊教育师范学校，两校合署办学。2010年3月，经教育部批准，阳泉市教育学院与山西省平定师范学校合并组建为阳泉师范高等专科学校，成为一所面向全国招生的公办全日制普通高等专科学校，主要承担小学教育和特殊教育师资培养任务。

Yangquan Normal College is located at No. 59 Shangcheng Street, Guanshan Town, Pingding County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. Its predecessor was Shanxi Provincial Pingding Normal School founded in February 1949. In 1989, Shanxi Special Education Normal School was established at the same address, and the two schools operated jointly. In March 2010, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Yangquan City Institute of Education and Shanxi Provincial Pingding Normal School merged to form Yangquan Normal College, a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college enrolling students nationwide, mainly undertaking the task of cultivating primary education and special education teachers.

学校占地20.15万平方米，建筑面积11.15万平方米，拥有纸质图书24万余册、电子图书27万余册，教学科研仪器设备总值2397.75万元。开设师范类专业10个（如语文教育、特殊教育、学前教育等）和非师范类专业13个（如大数据技术、康复治疗技术等），现有教职工294人，专任教师210人，其中副教授以上职称占比39.1%，双师型教师占比46.6%。建校以来累计培养3.2万余名基础教育师资，近年来毕业生就业率保持在91%以上，学前教育、特殊教育等专业供不应求。

The college covers an area of 201,500 square meters with a building area of 111,500 square meters. It has more than 240,000 paper books, over 270,000 e-books, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 23.9775 million yuan. It offers 10 teacher education majors (such as Chinese Education, Special Education, Preschool Education, etc.) and 13 non-teacher education majors (such as Big Data Technology, Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, etc.). There are 294 faculty members, including 210 full-time teachers, among whom associate professors and above account for 39.1%, and double-qualified teachers account for 46.6%. Since its establishment, it has cultivated more than 32,000 basic education teachers. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained above 91%, and majors such as Preschool Education and Special Education are in short supply.
