烟台职业学院2001年建校，是经山东省人民政府批准、烟台市人民政府主办的全日制公办普通高校。学校由原烟台职工大学、烟台工业学校等7所学校先后合并组建而成，秉承“顽强拼搏、团结协作、追求卓越、扎实工作”的学校精神，是中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划项目单位、国家示范性骨干高职院校、国家优质高等职业院校，荣获全国高职院校服务贡献50强、教学资源50强、国际影响力50强等多项荣誉。

Yantai Vocational College was founded in 2001. It is a full-time public ordinary college approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and sponsored by the People's Government of Yantai City. The college was formed by the merger of 7 schools including the former Yantai Workers' University and Yantai Industrial School. Adhering to the school spirit of "tenacious struggle, unity and cooperation, pursuit of excellence, and solid work", it is a project unit of China's characteristic high-level vocational schools and professional construction plan, a national demonstration backbone vocational college, and a national high-quality higher vocational college. It has won many honors such as the Top 50 National Vocational Colleges in Service Contribution, Top 50 in Teaching Resources, and Top 50 in International Influence.

学校位于烟台市高新技术产业开发区，占地面积1600亩，校舍建筑面积54万平方米，固定资产12.27亿元，教学仪器设备3.2亿元，馆藏图书177万册。设有15个教学系部，拥有专任教师1013人，其中教授87人、副教授363人、硕博士839人，高职在校生近1.8万余人。开设50个教学专业，涵盖装备制造、电子信息、财经商贸等11个专业大类，拥有三年制大专教育、3+2专本贯通分段培养等教育类型。

The college is located in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Yantai City, covering an area of 1600 mu, with a school building area of 540,000 square meters, fixed assets of 1.227 billion yuan, teaching instruments and equipment of 320 million yuan, and 1.77 million books in the library. It has 15 teaching departments, 1013 full-time teachers, including 87 professors, 363 associate professors, 839 masters and doctors, and nearly 18,000 vocational college students. It offers 50 teaching majors, covering 11 professional categories such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, finance and commerce, and has education types such as three-year college education and 3+2 college-undergraduate贯通 segmented training.

学校实施特色立校、创新兴校、人才强校、文化育校四大战略，建有18个国家重点专业（群）和26个省级重点专业（群）；拥有国家级精品课程及精品资源共享课程5门、国家规划教材18部、省级精品课程及精品资源共享课程116门；建有中央财政支持等国家级实训基地9个、省级实训基地5个。荣获国家级教学成果奖2项、省级教学成果奖23项，师生累计获得国家级技能大赛奖项近200项、省级技能大赛奖项近1100项。

The college implements the four strategies of "establishing the college with characteristics, invigorating the college with innovation, strengthening the college with talents, and nurturing the college with culture". It has built 18 national key majors (groups) and 26 provincial key majors (groups); 5 national excellent courses and excellent resource sharing courses, 18 national planning textbooks, 116 provincial excellent courses and excellent resource sharing courses; 9 national training bases supported by the central finance and 5 provincial training bases. It has won 2 national teaching achievement awards and 23 provincial teaching achievement awards. Teachers and students have won nearly 200 national skill competition awards and nearly 1100 provincial skill competition awards.

学校深化产教融合，与烟台11个区市开展全面战略合作，打造政行企校研五方联动一体化育人机制，构建全主体融入、全要素融合、全链条融通的产教融合新生态。建有万华产业学院、海洋工程产业学院等14个产业学院，引入丰田T-TEP、德国西门子等国际化生产性实训项目，年完成社会培训超过12万人次。成立烟台开放大学、烟台老年开放大学，构建服务全民终身学习教育体系。

The college deepens the integration of industry and education, carries out comprehensive strategic cooperation with 11 districts and cities in Yantai, creates a five-party linkage integrated education mechanism of government, industry, enterprise, college and research, and builds a new ecology of industry-education integration with full subject integration, full factor integration and full chain integration. It has built 14 industrial colleges such as Wanhua Industrial College and Ocean Engineering Industrial College, introduced international productive training projects such as Toyota T-TEP and Siemens of Germany, and completed more than 120,000 person-times of social training annually. Yantai Open University and Yantai Senior Open University were established to build an education system serving lifelong learning for all.
