玉溪农业职业技术学院是经云南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等学校,其前身可追溯至1956年成立的玉溪农业学校。学院始终坚持党的全面领导,落实立德树人根本任务,围绕职业教育高质量发展目标,坚守兴农初心,为云岭大地高原特色农业发展培养高素质技术技能人才,曾获全国十佳科技志愿者服务队、云南省现代学徒制试点学校等荣誉。
Yuxi Agriculture Vocation-Technical College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor can be traced back to Yuxi Agricultural School founded in 1956. The college has always adhered to the overall leadership of the Party, implemented the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, focused on the goal of high-quality development of vocational education,坚守 the original aspiration of promoting agriculture, and cultivated high-quality technical and skilled talents for the development of plateau characteristic agriculture in Yunnan. It has been awarded honors such as the National Top Ten Science and Technology Volunteer Service Team and Yunnan Provincial Modern Apprenticeship Pilot School.
学院历经多年发展,形成鲜明办学特色。1992年加挂“云南省玉溪烟草栽培学校”牌子,实行“一个机构,两块牌子”管理体制;2002年独立升格为专科层次高职院校。现占地约700亩,分校本部和峨山校区,设8个二级学院,开设有60个高职专业,涵盖农业种植、养殖、电子信息等七大职业门类,构建了“高职引领、中职支撑、纵向贯通、横向融通”的现代职业教育体系,2025年牵头成立玉溪农业职业技术学院职教集团,整合四所县级职中资源。
After years of development, the college has formed distinct school-running characteristics. In 1992, it added the brand of "Yunnan Yuxi Tobacco Cultivation School" and implemented the management system of "one institution, two brands"; in 2002, it was independently upgraded to a higher vocational college at the junior college level. Currently covering an area of about 700 mu, it has two campuses: the main campus and Eshan campus. It has 8 secondary colleges and offers 60 higher vocational majors, covering seven vocational categories such as agricultural planting, breeding, and electronic information. It has built a modern vocational education system of "higher vocational leadership, secondary vocational support, vertical connection, and horizontal integration". In 2025, it took the lead in establishing the Yuxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical College Vocational Education Group, integrating resources of four county-level vocational schools.
