益阳师范高等专科学校是经湖南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等学校。学校脱胎于1551年创建的龙洲书院，筑基于1925年更名的益阳县立龙洲师范学校，起始于1949年10月1日定名的湖南省益阳师范学校。2021年，在百年师范基础上成功获批为专科层次高等学校，开启全新发展征程。

Yiyang Normal College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. The school traces its roots to Longzhou Academy founded in 1551, was established on the basis of Yiyang County Longzhou Normal School renamed in 1925, and started as Hunan Yiyang Normal School named on October 1, 1949. In 2021, it was successfully approved as a junior college on the basis of a century-old normal education tradition, embarking on a new journey of development.

学校位于益阳市中心城区益阳大道（西）238号，规划建设用地450余亩，设有附属学校1所，合作实习单位208个。开设小学教育、学前教育、早期教育、婴幼儿托育服务与管理、中文、音乐表演、舞蹈表演、环境艺术设计、数字媒体艺术设计、体育教育、社会体育、现代教育技术、工业机器人技术、软件技术、人工智能技术应用、集成电路技术等丰富专业。

The college is located at No. 238 (West) Yiyang Avenue in the central urban area of Yiyang City, with a planned construction area of over 450 mu. It has 1 affiliated school and 208 cooperative internship units. The college offers a wide range of majors including Primary Education, Preschool Education, Early Childhood Education, Infant Care Service and Management, Chinese Language, Music Performance, Dance Performance, Environmental Art Design, Digital Media Art Design, Physical Education, Social Sports, Modern Educational Technology, Industrial Robot Technology, Software Technology, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, and Integrated Circuit Technology.

学校现有教职工326人，其中教授5名，副教授（副高级）职称88人，省级优秀教师、省级优秀班主任、省特级教师5人，市级名校长、名师、学科带头人和骨干教师23人。近三年在文明风采、黄炎培创新创业大赛、职业技能大赛、艺术展演等活动中多次获得国家、省、市级一二等奖，毕业生长期供不应求，就业率达100%。

The college currently has 326 faculty members, including 5 professors, 88 associate professors (with deputy senior titles), 5 provincial excellent teachers, provincial excellent class teachers, and provincial special-grade teachers, as well as 23 municipal renowned principals, famous teachers, discipline leaders, and backbone teachers. In the past three years, it has won many first and second prizes at the national, provincial, and municipal levels in activities such as Civilization Style, Huang Yanpei Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Vocational Skills Competition, and Art Exhibition. Graduates have long been in short supply, with an employment rate of 100%.
