昭通卫生职业学院坐落于素有“咽喉西蜀、锁钥南滇”之称的云南北大门——昭通市，其前身为始建于1957年的云南省昭通卫生学校，2016年升格为滇东北唯一一所公办医学高等专科职业院校。学校占地655.89亩，建筑面积29.17万平方米，现有教职员工500余人，专任教师251人，其中高级职称79人、医学博士2人、双师型教师79人、硕士研究生114人，形成了一支专业结构完善的师资队伍。

Zhaotong Health Vocational College is located in Zhaotong City, known as the "Gateway to Western Sichuan and Key to Southern Yunnan". Its predecessor was Yunnan Zhaotong Health School founded in 1957, and it was upgraded to the only public medical higher vocational college in northeastern Yunnan in 2016. The college covers an area of 655.89 mu with a building area of 291,700 square meters. It has more than 500 faculty members, including 251 full-time teachers, among whom 79 have senior professional titles, 2 hold medical doctorates, 79 are "double-qualified" teachers, and 114 have master's degrees, forming a well-structured teaching team.

学校开设中医学、护理、医学检验技术等20个专业，覆盖医药卫生大类重点领域，其中护理专业为省级优质专业，眼视光技术、药学等3个专业入选省级现代学徒制项目。累计培养9万余名医学人才，荣获教育部国防教育特色学校、省级文明校园等30余项荣誉，教师团队获全国职业院校技能大赛二等奖等130余项教学成果，学生护考通过率连续保持96.3%以上，专升本率达22.94%。

The college offers 20 majors including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology, covering key areas of medical and health disciplines. The Nursing major is a provincial-level high-quality program, and 3 majors such as Optometry Technology and Pharmacy have been selected into provincial modern apprenticeship projects. It has cultivated over 90,000 medical talents and won more than 30 honors including the Ministry of Education's National Defense Education Characteristic School and Provincial Civilized Campus. The teaching team has obtained over 130 teaching achievements such as the second prize in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, with the nurse qualification exam pass rate remaining above 96.3% and the undergraduate upgrade rate reaching 22.94%.
