昭通职业学院于2022年经云南省人民政府批准，2023年经国家教育部备案，属昭通市人民政府主办的专科层次全日制公办普通高等职业学校。学院坚持“为党育人、为国育才”，以“通融化、集团化、一体化，高层次、高水平、高质量，服务产、城、人三篇文章”为发展方向，致力于培养复合式创新型高素质技能人才，服务区域经济社会发展与产业转型。

Zhaotong Vocational College was approved by the People's Government of Yunnan Province in 2022 and filed by the Ministry of Education of China in 2023. It is a full-time public higher vocational college at the junior college level sponsored by the Zhaotong Municipal People's Government. Adhering to the mission of "Cultivating talents for the Party and the country", the college focuses on the development orientation of "integration, collectivization, integration; high level, high standard, high quality; serving the three strategies of industry, city, and people", dedicated to cultivating compound, innovative, high-quality technical talents to support regional economic and social development and industrial transformation.

校园占地面积569.8亩，建筑面积36万平方米，规划学位1.2万人，按“一轴两带三区四馆五场”布局，建有教学实训区、运动训练中心、产教融合中心等八大功能区，配备动物手术室、智能制造实训室等33个专业实训场所，教学科研仪器设备总值达6264万元。首批开设畜牧兽医、建筑工程技术、智能制造装备技术等6个紧贴地方产业需求的专业。

The campus covers an area of 569.8 mu (about 379,867 square meters) with a building area of 360,000 square meters, designed to accommodate 12,000 students. The layout features "one axis, two belts, three zones, four halls, and five fields", including eight functional centers such as teaching and training zones, sports training centers, and industry-education integration centers. It is equipped with 33 professional training facilities such as animal operating rooms and intelligent manufacturing laboratories, with teaching and research equipment valued at 62.64 million yuan. The college initially offers 6 majors closely aligned with local industrial needs, including Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Architectural Engineering Technology, and Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Technology.

学院现有教职工80人，专任教师73人，其中研究生学历占比47.9%，“双师型”教师占比56.2%，省级名师2人。通过“3+2”升学模式与普职融通培养，推动学生创新创业及高质量就业，全力打造支撑昭通市经济社会发展的综合性职业教育基地。

The college has 80 faculty members, including 73 full-time teachers. Among them, 47.9% hold postgraduate degrees, 56.2% are "dual-qualification" teachers (with both teaching and industry experience), and 2 are provincial-level distinguished teachers. Through the "3+2" further education model and integration of general and vocational education, the college promotes student innovation, entrepreneurship, and high-quality employment, striving to build a comprehensive vocational education base supporting Zhaotong's economic and social development.
