中南财经政法大学是中华人民共和国教育部直属的一所以经济学、法学、管理学为主干，兼有哲学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、艺术学等九大学科门类的普通高等学校，是国家“双一流”建设高校，国家“211工程”“985工程优势学科创新平台”重点建设高校。学校现有两个校区，南湖校区位于风景秀丽的南湖之畔，首义校区位于历史悠久的黄鹤楼下。

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law is a regular higher education institution directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It focuses on economics, law, and management, and also encompasses nine disciplines including philosophy, literature, history, science, engineering, and art. It is a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a key university in the national "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". The university currently has two campuses: the Nanhu Campus is located by the beautiful Nanhu Lake, and the Shouyi Campus is located under the historic Yellow Crane Tower.

After years of construction, the university has developed into a university of finance, economics, politics and law with strong faculty, distinctive disciplinary characteristics, high educational standards, and important influence at home and abroad.
