遵义师范学院坐落于有“红色圣地、醉美遵义”美誉的历史文化名城，是一所拥有百年办学历史的省属本科院校。其前身是1907年创建的遵义初级师范学堂，历经省立遵义师范学校、遵义师范专科学校等发展阶段，2001年升格为本科院校并更名为遵义师范学院，2007年以良好成绩通过教育部本科教学工作水平评估，2024年获批为硕士学位授予单位。学校始终传承红色基因，1935年红军长征经过遵义时，毛泽东、朱德等老一辈革命家曾在原校址召开万人大会，播撒革命火种，使学校成为黔北新思想新文化的传播中心。

Zunyi Normal University is located in the famous historical and cultural city known as the "Red Holy Land, Beautiful Zunyi". It is a provincial undergraduate university with a century-long history. Its predecessor was the Zunyi Primary Normal School founded in 1907. After going through stages such as the Provincial Zunyi Normal School and Zunyi Teachers College, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed Zunyi Normal University in 2001. In 2007, it passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education with good results, and in 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit. The university has always inherited the red gene. When the Red Army passed through Zunyi during the Long March in 1935, revolutionary elders such as Mao Zedong and Zhu De held a mass meeting at the original campus site, sowing the seeds of revolution and making the university a center for spreading new ideas and culture in northern Guizhou.

学校秉持“厚德树人，笃学致用”的校训，形成了“遵道循义、敦品励学”的校风。现占地面积2100余亩，已建成北区近1000亩，总建筑面积48.6万平方米，设有18个学院（教学部），48个普通本科专业，涵盖文、理、工、管、农等9大学科门类，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点5个、省级一流专业建设点12个。教职工1037人中，博士256人，正高职称149人，享受国务院津贴1人，省管专家2人；全日制在校生14485人，留学生68人来自老挝、越南等7国。学校建有教育部人文社科重点研究基地、红色经典艺术教育示范基地等国家级平台，以及省级重点学科、特色重点实验室等20余个省级科研教学平台，致力于培养服务地方经济社会发展的高素质应用型人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivating Virtue and Nurturing People, Studying Diligently for Practical Use", the university has formed a school spirit of "Abiding by Morality and Justice, Promoting Character and Encouraging Learning". Currently covering an area of over 2100 mu, with nearly 1000 mu completed in the North Campus and a total construction area of 486,000 square meters, it has 18 colleges (teaching departments) and 48 regular undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines including arts, science, engineering, management, and agriculture. It boasts 5 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 12 provincial first-class major construction sites. Among the 1037 faculty members, there are 256 doctors, 149 with senior professional titles, 1 recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, and 2 provincial management experts. The university has 14,485 full-time students and 68 international students from 7 countries including Laos and Vietnam. It has established national-level platforms such as the Ministry of Education's Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences and the Red Classic Art Education Demonstration Base, as well as more than 20 provincial-level scientific research and teaching platforms including provincial key disciplines and characteristic key laboratories, dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents serving local economic and social development.
