郑州财经学院是经教育部批准设立的民办普通本科高校，其建校基础为1997年成立的郑州经济管理学校，2003年升格为专科层次的郑州经贸职业学院，2014年正式升格为本科层次的郑州财经学院。学校坚持社会主义办学方向，落实立德树人根本任务，遵循公益性办学原则，秉承“厚德、砺志、笃学、敏行”校训，践行“质量立校、特色兴校、人才强校、服务社会”的办学理念，致力于建设省内一流、国内知名、特色鲜明的高水平应用型民办本科高校。

Zhengzhou University of Finance and Economics is a private ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded on the basis of Zhengzhou Economic Management School established in 1997, upgraded to Zhengzhou Economic and Trade Vocational College at the junior college level in 2003, and officially upgraded to Zhengzhou University of Finance and Economics at the undergraduate level in 2014. 学校设有14个二级学院、2个教学部，开设38个本科专业，涵盖经济学、管理学、工学、艺术学、文学、教育学6大学科门类。拥有省级重点学科3个，省级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级品牌专业建设点6个，省级一流本科课程5门。学校总占地面积1854亩，教学科研仪器设备总值13033.39万元，实验实训室170个，馆藏纸质图书240万册，电子图书144万册，为学生提供了优质的学习和科研环境。

在师资队伍建设方面，学校现有折合专任教师1351.5人，其中自有专任教师1107人（含银龄教师），占专任教师总数的81.91%。省教育厅学术技术带头人、省级教学标兵、省级骨干教师、省级优秀教师等100人，省级优秀基层教学组织6个、省级创新工作室2个。教师在各类教学竞赛中获奖143项，其中特等奖、一等奖38项，教学水平持续提升。

学校积极推进协同创新，建有省级工程技术研究中心等省市级科研创新平台13个，获省部级科研项目108项，市厅级科研项目1654项，发表核心期刊论文536篇，授权专利455项，其中144项专利实现成果转化。同时，学校注重开放式办学，与华为等企业共建5个产业学院，并与西安交通大学开展合作，联合培养人才，服务地方经济社会发展。
